Bringing Giggs into a discussion on who's the best player ever? Also, the rest of your arguments are equally laughable.

Giggs...

Laughable, really? i don't think they are, i could go on and on tbh why Messi isn't the best player in history but quite frankly i cannot be arsed.

What is laughable though when someone says Messi isn't the best player in history, Messi-fan boys jump on you like you're insulting him :facepalm:gets on my tits tbh to the point where I'm thinking about removing him from my avatar.

Bummer! I had hoped for more brilliantly convincing arguments like your last post. Our loss, I suppose :(

I don't really care what gets on your tits; that's your business, but in the future you may wanna bring some relevant arguments to the table, instead of dragging players like Giggs into the discussion.

I'm voting no on this based solely on that he hasn't played for that long. Players like Pele and Beckenbauer were world class for over 10 years. With that said I do believe he's better than them, just not greater yet. But he's close.

I still really want to hear when Giggs was a top 10 player in the world.

The 90s had Zidane, Brazilian Ronaldo, Schmeichel, Maldini, Batistuta, Bergkamp, Figo, Cafu, Raul, Baggio, Del Piero, etc. etc. etc.

2000s has had Messi, Ronaldinho, CR7, Iniesta, Xavi, Casillas, Buffon, Viera, Henry, Pirlo, Kaka, Rooney, Shevchenko, Van Nistelrooy, etc. etc. etc.

I'm not going to even try educate you. Looking at your list above, the lack of PL players tells me the way you see things, i mean you add Pirlo and Xavi and no Scholes  <--- yep, this icon sums you and your list up perfectly.

You put van Nisterooy in there and leave out Giggs? And what about Gerrard? Kahn? Ballack?

*also, the 200s? :D*

Has Scholes been named MOTM in a World Cup final?

I think - for the record - that Paul Scholes is easily the most talented English footballer of his generation and regret that he didn't play more for his NT because I think he could have really added something. I'd easily name him to an all time United greats list. But among the best in the world? No.

Aside from his goal in the WC 2010, Iniesta did not rate a MotM award, imo. He was good but not the best on the pitch that evening (if you are referring to that one).

Scholes is absolutely among United's greats and also one of the best midfielders England has ever had - the reason why he didn't play more for England were due to the coach if Steven Gerrard is to be believed. Pity as I believe he would've added more to the midfield had he played there instead of Fat Frank.

And he used to be among the best of the world. How you can say no escapes my mind.

What lack of PL players? I named Henry, Bergkamp, Schmeichel, Van Nistelrooy, Viera. I put "etc." for a reason. You guys are taking the list too literally.

Actually, loozy, I was thinking of Pirlo and 2006 when he absolutely did deserve it. :)

Oh, sorry, mate :) I am a bit rusty when it comes to the finale in 2006 but I just take your word for it :beer2:

@ Paganini
I still don't get how you can add van Nisterooy to the list :p To me, he has always been one of the most overrated players of the early 2000s.

If Scholes was born in the biggest country in the world, America, he might have been more respected.
