Isaac Cuenca

A lot of players at his age would constantly take on the fullback, but Cuenca seems to know when its right to do so and when its sensible to pass back toward Iniesta, Xavi etc. We didn't need him to be a hero tonight and he didn't foolishly try to be that for us.

Very happy with his game, he was a bit isolated by his teammates tho.

Absolutely magnificent performance from Cuenca. People, he was playing against Milan in a decisive CL game! Passing, dribbling, pressing, and crossing: all were top class. And that yellow he got? That was a perfect foul which effectively nullified a potentially dangerous counterattack.

I'm glad he's proving me right time and time again. Cuenca is one of the most promising players, if not the most, we have in our youth squads.

Cuenca > Tello

Certainly his footballing intelligence and teamplay are above Tello. Very mature performance from the youngster which bodes well for him and the team.

he vanished when was shifted to RW, but he was really awesome in the 1st half

that was his job though. he was to assist alves in his defensive duties so that mascherano wasn't exploited as easily as in the first half. worked like a charm.

I would say true, he kept Antonini from going forward, as Don Andres did the same with Abate.

Cuenca is great and he showed why once again last night

Better than Alexis if you ask me. So proud of these youngsters and Pep who puts so much faith in them.

He doesn't have the attributes to be a great player, but he's disciplined and versatile. He'll be an excellent squad player for us - crucial for league campaigns.

Cuenca is very disapointing. Not because he isn't playing well, far from that. But just like Thiago there simply isn't any magic in him.
He'd be a great player at any other team in la liga besides us and Madrid but I just don't see him being anything more than a good squad player if he continues playing the way he is.
Tello is just so much better.

did his job excellently once again. was laughing at the al jazeera pundits hating on him saying he didn't do shit all night in terms of beating his man and taking shots on goal. well that wasn't his job you idiots. anyway, very pleased with him, works hard in defense and seems like he's listening to pep's every instruction
