His passing is not that good, in fact it is his greatest weakness. There are many times when he screws up even the simplest pass. He is just good with final passes when around the box.There's a reason why Messi was our primary creator this year, not Rakitic.

Sorry but i see him doing 40 metres passes several times in each game. Perfectly made. From side to side. That´s good passing.

You seem oblivious to the fact Rakitic is almost always our 2nd DM. Of course his job isn't primarily creating. It's because of his hard work that front trio is free to do what they do best.

Yea, I agree with this. He is almost a DM, but with a rare quality of making the most out of pretty much every run he makes into the box. He is not a constant presence in our offensive play, but when he does go up he is extremely dangerous. I like that in a player, having mostly defensive duties, but also knowing exactly when to push forward -- those rare, but important moments in which his CAM qualities are visible. Love him, he's grown as a player in just 1 year with us. Great character as well.

It's a fine balance in this Barca team for a Midfielder to be able to contribute to our attacking play (make overlapping runs, sorties into opponents box, occupy defenders, get in to shooting positions etc) while not neglecting his defensive duties.

Raki manages to combine both aspects of the game seamlessly. He is such a team player, it has an effect on the whole team.
