Playing as a 6 , just in front of the defense.
And we know how much quality he has offensively.

He will add defensive work to our midfield. He didn't play any game for us, but I'm already sure that he'll add a lot to our team. Great player, probably the best of the first half with Neymar and Olic.

I don't think we can draw a lot of conclusions about Rakitic from one game where he is playing DM and Croatia is defending and counterattacking, it will be different at Barca.

-conceded a fk in a dangerous position

-played a role in the Croatia goal
-won the ball on couple of occasions
-kept the fk out

Basically, both good and bad. Certainly not what I call a really great half.

Obviously. What you can already see however is that he's putting in quite a shift, more than any other of our midfielders bar Busquets, defending Nerman at the byline of his own box. Which is obviously nothing new for anyone who watches him regularly without butthurtitis as he did the same against Iniesta when we played Sevilla.

He took the ball from neymar once or twice too. But it's just a game, hard to draw conclusions from that.
