r/Barca leans far more to the overly positive than we do to the overly negative.
Haven't been to reditt but the negativity around some members here is toxic at times . Gives a vibe that i am visiting a rival forum or some premier league club forums were anything and everything related to Barca is overrated .

We thankfully wont sell him this window. If Arthur is good enough I wouldnt mind selling Rakitic next year. No point (for me) in getting rid of Rakitic and put 100m++ euro in POgba/Kante or whoever. Would rather get De Jong and put aside money for an attacker aka 9.

/r/barca is bunch of fake positivity and barcaforum is a place of hatred, 90% of posts about any player are criticism/hate, even Messi to some extent. Have to visit both places to balance it out.

So true, the negativity in here and full of complaining
full time online managers are really toxic and boring

I think it comes from expectations. I expect treble every season, what else could I ask if we have the best player in the world with us? I think that's the biggest reason. People have almost unrealistic expectations for Barca. Myself included.

( we haven't been the best team in the world for few years now, though).

2015-2016 arguably but after that no way.

Well even in the time of Barca tiki taka, they didn't win UCL all the time. I think that Barca is still better than Madrid that won 3 UCL.

There's along fucking way from winning the CL and being eliminated, humiliated, dominated by vastly inferior teams. Last season, we were not contenders for CL. Looking like we could win it is not an unrealistic expectation when we have our budget and Messi.

When I first started posting on this forum in the 2014/15 season during the first half we were struggling under Lucho and the chat during games was something else.

Worse thing was is when Cesc started off the season strong and Rakitic while wasn't terrible was pretty average and unremarkable. People were wondering if we made the mistake of selling Cesc and buying Rakitic. I mean it got pretty bad for Rakitic at one point during that first half of the season. I remember the Elche game at home in the Copa Del Rey, Roberto was out performing him as a CM and people were posting RIP Rakitic on the chat.

I agree that he was a good purchase and that stuff like starting Xavi instead of him in that first Clasico was a mistake. I don't think he was the key to everything suddenly falling into place in the second half of 14/15 tho.
