Ivan Rakitić

I feel Barto and co have been trying to sell him all summer, trying stealth, under the table deals, etc but Rakitic probably refused leaving and now they're just getting desperate, having Valverde freeze him out of the team, offering him on loan - it's clear they just want rid.

Juve are probably as good a team as Rakitic could hope at this point. They seem to want him so he'll probably be a starter there. So I think it's gonna happen.

They are trying to sell him mostly due to Neymar.
We were already on a verge of bankruptcy and now we will invest 600m in Neymar.

Cou will pay the price.
Dembele.
Rakitic.
Rafinha.
Maybe even Vidal, Umtiti.

With Cou, we are so out of money that we have loaned him without a mandatory buy.
We were happy to earn 8m from a loan and not having to pay his wages.
Raki will probably go for peanuts since we are in a panic and need to sell asap.
Rafinha will leave for free.
For Griezz, we didn't have money and we needed to get a loan.
We didn't sell anyone after a loan for Griezmann and now we are investing 600m Euros in Barto's love obsession Neymar.

We already had like 500-600m of debt, before Griezz.
With Griezz, that is more than 700m.
With Loverboy Jr, our debts will go over 1billion, right?

Did any sport club in a history of all sports had higher debts than a current Fc Barca?

And yet, we will soon need a replacements for Messi, Suarez, Busi, Pique, Alba.
From where?
From 1 billion Euros of debt?

Barto, the mastermind.

Stunning.
Speechless.
Unreal.

De Jong will surely be Busquets's replacement, and possibly Griezmann Suarez's and Junior Firpo Alba's, so it's not as terrible as you're making out. Which isn't to say it's a particularly sensible idea either. What I don't understand is why, when it became obvious Neymar was available, and taking into account Barto's obsession with him, we still went ahead with the Griezmann deal.

If Neymar gets signed on some kind of loan deal the main concern for next season is probably wages so i could see them rather send Rakitic on loan than keeping him on the bench.

You saw this coming the day we bought the likes of FDJ, Arthur, and Roberto being moved back to the Midfield.

It was inevitable at this rate, even with Valverde that Busi and Rakitic's days as starters were coming to an end. Could they be useful as backup options? sure but I can't see Rakitic willing to stick around if he's being benched. Italy will probably suit his game more.

Valverde's assistant was asked before the start of the Betis game why Rakitic was benched and he said "Because we have other options we can use" and that tells you a lot.

Pretty much.

It turns out this has been dragging on since at least December and those leaks that the board promised De Jong's agent that Rakitic would be sold were indeed true.

Now that Valverde's clout has been drastically reduced; the board is doing as it pleases with the squad - his input is irrelevant since he knows he's lucky to still be at the job anyway.

The only stumbling block has been playing refusing to leave - now it's time to force their hand.

If Roberto keeps doing what he's doing and having Vidal as a workhorse option as well you will be comfortable with the idea that Rakitic may not be as needed after all anymore.

It can be said for Busi as well, sure both FDJ and Arthur may not be as good talents as Busi was at his peak, but both still have unique skill sets that are similar to him and could be good successors to him and to some of the other players we had such as Xavi with similar skill sets.

Feels like the first team in a long time that we are finally getting somewhere with the Midfield in having some great options and instead of forcefully relying so much on the likes of Busi, Rakitic, Iniesta as our secondary options have been shit.

soon we will be bankrupt like bury and bolton

You know what you're right, we will soon be bankrupt and there will be Barca fans helping to clean Camp Nou like Bury fans did today because we can't afford to pay cleaners. Sad times.
