Agreed !!

I can only think that anyone dissing Can has not seen much of him ..

He was great in his last couple of seasons at Liverpool and most were gutted that he left .. luckily they managed to get Fabinho as his replacement.

As for labelling him a brain dead workhorse .

YouTube - Can scissorkick !!

Dude you would agree to anything since you hate Rakitic. Comparing Rakitic to Emre Can is a football crime. Grow up!

Apparently, we were the one that proposed the Rakitic-Can Swap.

Juve wants to sell him though as they don't need any more Midfielders.

If this is true I am done with this club until we get a new board. Fucking Emre Can? Go fuck yourself Barto! I am all in for selling Rakitic but not for a much worse player who doesn't suit us at all. Truly disgusting people are in charge for this club.

Relax, there is no way that nobodies like Can or Rugani will be bought. I am saying this as probably the greatest opponent of the current useless board on this forum. They are braindead but not yet dead and buried.

The rumor comes off as us trying to move Rakitic on even if we have to swap him with Can of all people.

Di Marzio has been dodgy this summer in terms of reliability so take it with a grain of salt.

Rugani wouldn't be bad for a low price or on loan. Umtiti is crocked and Todibo still a bit unproven. After that Lenglet-Umtiti disaster against Villareal, any injury to Pique could be catastrophic if we don't have another centerback.

Maybe we could include Umtiti in Neymar deal and bring in Rugani.

I think the board has been so desperate to get rid of Rakitic since January, because these tier-1 rumours have been incessant. Emre Can is not a Barca player, so I assume they'd want to sign him to sell/trade him in the next transfer window since he's young-ish; whereas Rakitic is 32 and plans on running down his contract and leave for nothing. Not to mention the fact we're stacked in midfield in terms of numbers.

As someone said before, there's apparently not a single club that wants Rakitic at this point (if you watch him play you know why), hence he's still here despite all our efforts.

At least Valverde benched him for once though, there's a light at the end of the tunnel it seems.

Tbf, is there anyone who wants to buy majority of our players due to high wages and bad form?

Who would buy Suarez?
Who would buy Dumbele for more than 40m in this moment?
Who would buy Raki?
Who would buy Busi?
Who would buy Vidal?
Who would buy Rafinha?
I mean, we loaned a 165m signing Coutinho for 8 millions.

There are 4-5 players in our team who have worth.
And all others can't be sold due to being 32, old, drained, in a bad form and on Barto's huge wages.

Busi, Raki, Suarez: you can let them for free or keep in a team until their contract expires.

If you want to buy Busi or Raki, you have to pay 30-50 millions fee and give them 10m net wages for 3 years.
That is 30-50m fee plus 20m gross wages per year.
For 3 years, that is 90 to 110m euros.
Would you, if you were Juve, Inter or Arsenal invest 100m in a 31 years old drained, slow players?

That is the answer why nobody wants Suarez, Busi, Raki, Vidal, Rafinha, Arda, Coutinho etc.

Raki won't go if Juve offers 2 years deal.
He already has a similar 2 years deal here witj an insane wages and huge bonuses.

Why would anyone leave Barca and lose Barto's wages?
I wouldn't.

Well the freaky sale of Neymar apart ... and maybe the FDJ one

We have to be the worst club in history as regards transfers in and out ..

Our deals are just disastrous over the years

That's a problem you get when you let the club de amigos manage the club. That's the sole reason Valverde is still here, they manage Valverde and not the other way round.

They're old, entitled, smug and complacent because they know their place in the team is guaranteed. Who cares if they play poorly, or are old and past it? Their spots are occupied - as Rakitic himself said.

And then reality hits us when it comes to getting rid of such players because, by watching them, no club would touch them with a barge pole...

If we had a Klopp or indeed a Guardiola here, who would only play worthy players who perform, which would inevitably result in the indefinite benching of a lot of these said players, perhaps they would be willing to move on given they wouldn't get their undeserved minutes any more.

Instead they see Valverde, the ball-less bum, and it's business as usual for them. Hence Roma and Liverpool humiliations have become quite the norm now.

Look I really like Mandjukic, he is one of my favorite Croatian players of all time but he would NEVER fit well in here. He plays unbelievably good with his head, he is a true fighter and he was definition of an animal. A No.9 who contributed hugely in defense but he was always mediocre with the ball in his feet. That was the main reason Pep got rid of him when he came to Bayern.

I know he's not a good fit generally, probably why we haven't gone for a tall striker for years. But this is where I agree with BBZ in that we do need height (not all of our players lol) but having a tall striker as an option off the bench in games we are drawing or losing would be good imo. Better than someone like Kevin Prince-Boateng who is completely useless, or Munir etc

I agree but this problem can't be solved only with buying a tall striker. We would also need to change our style of play because we basically never cross the ball into a penalty box. I don't see that happening with our current roaster. Maybe we could use him as a solution for the last 15 or 20 minutes when we desperately need a goal but that would basically mean we would bet on Mandjo and not Messi. Messi is basically useless in that type of play and that's the main reason we rarely use that style.

But it wouldn't hurt to have the option, would it?
I mean, we have a team that can reach the corner flag without any hassle at all. All opponents close down the middle and leave us roaming on the flanks because we never ever cross as there is no point without any tall forwards. But if we presented one more threat we could open up those spaces in the middle. Just a though. ( I guess that was the reasoning behind the Ibra signing as well)

No it wouldn't. I agree on that. Regarding Ibra, bare in mind that he is much better on the ball than Mandjo.
