I didn't catch every Arsenal game in 07-08 but I saw quite a few (definitely all the big ones). Cesc was similar to what RvP was last season in the games that I watched. He was the go-to guy of the team. Wilshere is becoming that kind of player but IMO neither he (or Cazorla) are nearing Cesc's impact from that season.

It's all about momentum. Cesc had a great run as a teenager all the way to a champions league final, went to the world cup, and hit the ground running as the focal point of the club. Wilshere was returning from a 1.5 year injury, and Cazorla is in a new country and doesn't even speak English yet.

Next season we'll get to see what both can do

neymar was worst player on the pitch.

Wilshere had a good game, Brazil were all over the place, England controlled the midfield with ease. Brazil should get Luis Gustavo as their holding midfielder they were clueless whenever England had the ball

Wilshere is a good player but he isn't improving. He's very good at what he does but his game is constant, the only thing that's making him stand out is his young age.
Verratti's potential is limitless.
