Indeed, he is having a tough week. A tough season as well. A very overrated player to be honest. Very technical, very skilled but he actually doesn't do anything decisive on the pitch. He basically just runs with the ball, and gets fouled. For a midfielder, he really is an individual player. Very difficult to fit into a team at the moment. He makes it unnecessarily difficult. He doesn't have to constantly try to run so much with the ball, if he does, he should pass it BEFORE he gets fouled. So frustrating to watch.

Lack of defensive awareness is obvious as well.


He's got lots of potential though.

Yeah he's a pretty good player but only with potential which there is a question to be desired, if he'll reach that. Other than than i agree he's too overrated from everybody, saying that they think of him as the god of midfield which he hasn't shown signs to be yet.

Wenger plays him too far forward. Last season he was the player who made the pass before the assist more than anyone else in the league. He's best when he starts deep and drives forward taking men out of the game and committing them, he definitely isn't a #10 in my view.
