Jack Wilshere

Probably. The media don't really care about the national team for the most part, they just want to fill column inches.

First touch is still a bit iffy compared to what it was, but he seems to be getting some of his burst back, which people thought he might have lost after his injuries.

With Arteta being 32 next season, we could very well see a Wilshere/Ramsey duo in the middle of the park next season.

What ya'll think?

I think that could work out great. Ramsey and Wilshere both have the skills, vision and workrate to play there and that leaves the CAM/wing spots open for players like Ozil, Cazorla, Gnabry, The Ox, Walcott, Podolski etc.

My sentiments exactly.

I think they'd compliment each other perfectly. only thing that bothers me, is the physical aspect.

Neither will be able to properly defend corners/set pieces that well. If we look at City, they've got a powerful defence, with the likes of Yaya and Fernandinho helping out too. Plus the likes of Dzeko and Negredo if need be.

wilshere/Ramsey, perhaps looks good, but we'd need height/power in other positions.

I hope not. Arteta is still the best holding midfielder in the squad and I still don't like the idea of two attack minded box to box players in central midfield. They've only played together in midfield on a few occasions but I still remember that disaster against Villa on the opening day. Just awful. There was a serious lack of defensive positioning from the two of them.

Apart from that, the two of them looked decent against a pathetic Fenerbache and against a terrible Fulham side.

So many midfielders in the squad now. It may cause some problems.

Lemon curry?
Ramsey/Wilshere pivot would leave the team exposed defensively, unless one of them modifies his game and stops going forward individually so much - but that would limit them in the areas they are most skilfil in. They are both competing for one spot imo.

Would be a bad idea for now, can see it happen in a few years though with Ramsey in the Arteta role. Arteta is still good and for the tough and physical games we still have Flamini.

Chamberlaim - Ramsey seems more likely. Wilshere will just dribble and loose the ball in dangerous positions over and over every odd game

They are both still young so they can grow in that role. They can take turns in going forward while the other one protects the back four. It's about understanding each other and making clear rules.

Wilshere has been more dangerous in front of goal this season. I expect him to improve on his stats sooner rather then later. I see him having a Ramsey like explosion in terms of goals next season.

Wilshere is coming back to something like his best. Really hope he stays fit for the rest of the season. Pass and move Jack and stay away from dodgy tackles.
