Jadon Sancho

Would be the first time a 100+ mil player is straight up bought for the bench. Rotations and injuries sure, but Mane and Salah are both easily top 10 players and therefore will most likely start the important games. Liverpool is by far the hardest challenge for a winger at the moment, at every other club he would have a chance to become a starter.

Would be very surprising for me because it seems like a bit of a strange move for Sancho, but good for Liverpool if it's true.

Their front three will be tired soon after a few seasons of not resting.
They won't be able to play this much anymore.

There will be plenty of minutes for the 4th guy.

They'd already be getting tired but they're not part of national teams who compete for serious titles (firmino wasn't a mainstay until recently). Like MSN.

And they haven't won a lot yet. Just 1 CL.

Obviously it's good from Liverpools perspective (if money isn't an issue, what seems to be the case) but usually "players need a pause sometimes" isn't really the best argument to convince players like Sancho to join.

So it would be a surprising move imo. Liverpool is the club where becoming a starter on the wing seems to be the hardest challenge by far at the moment.

It's not that much different to buying Greizmann for €120m to bench Dembélé who cost €105m.

When it comes to recruiting the players it's not really comparable. When bought Dembele (and Coutinho) was meant to be a starter and then it was the same for Griezmann because the first two more or less failed.

But then again there also was the NeyNey comeback saga, what actually could've made Griezmann a galactico backup

Well, my opinion lately is that BOTH Pep and Klopp have a coaching idea where they are getting 120% out of players short term, for 2-3 years.
And players are dead and overburnt both physically and mentally after that.

Pep's City is falling apart both mentally and physically in this season, as always after 3 seasons.
Regarding Klopp, his team is also consisted of players who currently look, run, press and play like tireless robots, which is not sustainable longterm.
Also, you can create such teams (Pep's and Klopp's) only with players who are mostly young or in their mid 20s, and who haven't won a lot, so who's physical and mental batteries are full.

Imo, Pep will run away from City after this season, NOT because HE is tired or because HE needs a new challenge, but because he knows what he is doing and his team will be dead on all levels after this season and the only way to bring it back to life is to sell half of the drained players and to build a new team, which takes time, suffering in results and which brings fights with your current players whom you now need to sell in order to buy fresher players who will be able to give 120% for 3 years (A coach will look like an asshole or a selfish traitor then), or=to run away, which he is always doing.
Regarding Klopp, imo, he is doing the same trick.
Liverpool are on their prime for the last 18-24 Months.
They will win EPL in upcoming Months.
Next season will probably be way weaker, like Barca's 2007 under Rijkaard after a CL win in 2006, or Lucho's 2016 after treble.
They will start well but will get weaker and weaker with each Month passing by.

Again, Pep's or Klopp's players aren't ACTUALLY robots.
And what their coaches are doing with them currently can't last for long.

Anyway, when you sum it all:
1. there is a high chance that Mane, Salah and Firmino will suffer from accumulated fatigue (from playing 24-36 Months like robots at 120% without rest and rotations) and that they will play way less than today
2. injuries will start to strike them after playing like robots without rest for several seasons in a row
3. there is also a mental part: there is a high chance:
1) that some players will lose their motivation and turn into party mode after winning a legendary EPL after 30 years of waiting and after winning a CL in 2019 (like Ronaldinho and Deco after 2006)
2) or that they will need a new challenge (Salah/Firmino moving to Barca/Real)

So, imo, a current Liverpool is not sustainable.
The 4th guy could easily turn into a starter soon (longterm) due to all these reasons from above.

With Liverpool and City I think it was the old mantra that you don't feel tired when you are winning. That and they have hungry players who as a team majority are eager to win something. For Liverpool especially right now where this will be their first league title since the big bang.

At Barcelona comparatively, we are a stale fart which was once a fart of the fart of a treble winner.

Lunin ahead of Havertz is a good joke. R9 who owns Valladolid and countryman Shevchenko voted for him. :crbust:
Dude is a backup to Jordi Masip while Havertz is one of the BL's best players with more than 100 games.

Havertz is definitely top 2 for me. Should be of Sancho as well, but I guess he's not flashy enough.

Yeah, the same can also be said about Vinicius ahead of Havertz.

Agreed. But it's somewhat understandable that people vote for Vinicius after his good performances in Liga and CL last season with all the hype that came with it.

Having such a low number of voters will always lead to some weird results, blame CR and Messi for winning so many titles

Sancho’s games/stats since he scored against Barcelona.

====
Herta 1 – Dortmund 2 (Sancho 1 goal)
Dortmund 5 - Fortuna 0 (Sancho 2 goals, 1 assist)
Dortmund 2 – Slavia Praha 1 (Sancho 1 goal, 1 assist)
Mainz 0 – Dortmund 4 (Sancho 1 goal, 2 assists)
Dortmund 3 – RB Leipzig 3 (Sancho 1 goal, 1 assist).
===

Latest news is that City want to resign him, can’t see that happening, but Chelsea are also linked and think that is a strong possibility personally.

Sané is likely going to Bayern. It is a possibility City might be interested in him.

I agree about the fact Chelsea might be the best choice for him. They are playing young english players and will have ton of money to spend after the transfer ban.

There were some rumours about PSG eyeing him in case they sell Mbappé to Real in the summer.

Not sure about him replacing Mbappe, different type of player. But think he's a good option for PSG to replace Neymar should he move.

There is no other player like Mbappé.

Mbappé rarely plays as number 9 for PSG. More like a winger/second striker. Sancho can do that.
