Totally different cases. Ajax would never let FDJ go during the season. Well, maybe if we would pay something like 120M.

You are probably correct. But how awesome would it be if we had FDJ with us right now!!!

Anyway, our midfield this season is much better than the previous couple of years, that's for sure.

This is awesome news. As soon as his signing was announced 3 weeks ago, I said that we should bring him in now! I am very happy that we did and I expect to see him play asap.

I think the same should have been done with FDJ.

Dude where are you living? We don't have Pep or Wenger as coach, to throw a newbie in right away. Pique will be run into the ground before this guy gets a chance under Valverde in any meaningful game this season. Especially since we also have Murillo for cover right now too. Todibo will totally be more or less the Mina deal. He was brought in now just to avoid being blacklisted by Toulouse for another 5 months. This way he'll at least train with our first team, get acclimated a bit too, and maybe get 2 or 3 games in the last 5 rounds of La Liga, if we're automatic champions by then, to see if he's ready to jump right in and be a reliable 4th CB option for us. If not, he'll probably be sent out on loan in the summer, while we'll exercise the buy option on Murillo or go after someone new (De Ligt?), which is still my preferred bet, even though most expensive, but by far the most safe option. Vermaelen will be released, while option to buy Murillo in the summer is probably also dependent on Umtiti's fit status by then, and if we're serious about bringing De Ligt.

We went from having 2 available CBs to 6 (if Umtiti returns soon) quite fast
Perhaps Ernie can try a 5-4-1? Would be an upgrade over his favorite 4-4-2 :crbust:

While it is nice to bring him over to train with us, but if he is getting zero game time (since he is not registered for the B team and we know he won't get many minutes under Valverde), perhaps he should be loaned out?

If he has a lot of potential as some folks said he does, we should not waste his time and hinder his development by simply having him train with us and not playing at all.

It is just a number guys and in Spain you can't choose numbers higher than 25. MD proving to be the most informed local paper as usual. They have been consistently well-informed this month. I guess Bartomeu's recent meeting with Nolla had its effects. Nolla looked like a happy little school boy for a reason, I guess.

I guess there was no time to loan him out otherwise we would. We barely signed him as the talks werent easy if the reports are true. Cant imagine this guy is already good enough to walk into our line up and he needs playing time because he didnt play since months.

We've really been very fortunate in our dealings this window. This was the most sensible thing to happen but i was concerned they would be too sour to act reasonably. Rather than loaning him it just might be better for him to stick around and get to know the team, club and city. Might as well enroll in classes to learn Spanish and Catalan. It might not hurt to register him to play for the B team to keep his fitness in top shape.

Before anyone gets mad, it seems like the #6 is the only available outfield number right now. Samper and Rafinha are hoarding numbers even though they're hardly present.

#1, #13 and #25 are reserved for GKs in La Liga.

I bet FdJ will get the #6 while Todibo takes a different number later.

Thing is, unless Denis is back or Todibo request another number he should -like any other player- be able to keep his number next year as no player should have his number taken.
And tbh, I like it. hope he keeps it for long term

hmmmm,,,,,

very strange signing, but for free might try this one out.

what is his profile? ?

hopefully he is not similar to that bumbling oaf jerry mina........
