That's the major problem with this signing. You just can't justify paying 40m + wages for player who will steal playing time from youngsters who above else need fucking minutes to grow into their potential. He's not even better than them aside from experience. Apologists will say, "but, but Alena is staying with Barca B this year". So what, the other 4 years disappear? The wages will disappear in the next years?

Also how can you even rationalize paying this kind of money for a guy that went to China for 14m, 3 years ago? Remember, these chinese clubs are paying tens of millions for fringe squad player from around Europe. Tottenham also considered this a great deal btw. Levy fleecing clubs left, right and center since 2000 and they sold this guy for 14 fecking millions when he was in his prime at 26 yo. Now the guy is clearly on the downside of his career and we throw the cash at him.

Even if we buy Coutinho and Dembele, this board must go. They should have been booted a long time ago but this shit they're pulling now surely has them thrown out. The socios can't be that stupid to still support this guy after this summer. I refuse to believe so.

imo signing paulihno does not exclude signing Seri.
but signing seri would imo exclude signing couthino (which was imo not good cause I think couthino would be the most important signing)

I dont understand why they'd enquire about his availability. Nice president has been pretty clear about it, he can leave, for the price of 1 Paulinho. If Liverpool wants him they just need to pay up, since they have the money.

I'm going to cry if Seri turns out to be a hidden gem many believe he is and goes on to play great for another team.
