I don't think he was bad tonight until that 2nd yellow. b4 it he was doing fine IMO and even his 1st yellow was understandable.
Should have never made that tackle

Even though it was a bad decision by the french, the ref seemed to quick to show the second yellow... It was deserved in that play, but guys like Zabaleta did similar fouls all game long...

And the first yellow was a complete joke, didn't even touch Sterling... So yeah, I don't have anything against him, good game...

Yep. Zabaleta made 2 possibly 3 yellow card challenges in the first half alone and got nothing.

It doesn't really matter if another player should've had several yellow cards or whether Mathieu's first foul wasn't a foul or a YC. The problem is the incredibly stupid decision he made. Sometimes his decision making is baffling, while other times it's right on the point. Would like a bit more consistency.

Average defender with terrible decision making. Regardless of whether his first yellow was correct, he made a stupid decision which led to a red card. Time to move him on in the summer IMO.

He's been a good signing for us and has been very helpful in the past two seasons.

But if he continues like this, he's just going to become another Adriano where fans start to hate him because they view him as a massive liability and forget the good he has done for us.

Even playing as a last option is stretching it at this point because he's still so chaotic.
