We won 4-0. If he'd get that red card at 0-0/1-0 and we wouldn't win because of that there would be at least 20 pages of "sell him" posts here already.

I think he wanted to get the ball with that tackle that lead to 2nd yellow, he was just a bit too late. But overall bad decision with 3-0 lead. If he'd let Sterling Umtiti and Digne were both close to cover him and even if he'd somehow score or got a penalty it wouldn't be the end of the world with 3-0 lead with 20 minutes left and City playing with 10 men. I'd understand his decision more if we'd only lead 1-0 and he'd try to prevent Sterling getting into scoring position or in penalty box to get a possible penalty.

And he should never be booked for the first challenge. If anyone should get that yellow it was Digne.

Very poor decision from him with that tackle, true facepalm-material. If someone like Marlon did that, it would be classified as a 'rookie-mistake'.
Anyway, it did not mean much in the end, but it is clear that he performs way worse as a substitute and much better when he plays from the beginning (at CB).

I think it's safer to say that he performs better against easier opponents, since he is not a world class defender.

I am still satisfied for having him in the squad. He got a red card, yes, but he was decent enough against a very difficult opponent that he was not expected to face.

Nah, that's his level. You can't ask for more from him at this stage. It's not like he started, he only played because Pique got injured. He's fine as 4th CB option.
