Jeremy Mathieu

NTC with a Positive attitude
Merci Mathieu.
Even though he had a bad last year. I would still say he was decent-OK and gave his whole heart while playing. Paid his own release clause to come here, and could have easily easily made more while staying this year in the club.

Au Revoir et bonne chance pour votre avenir. :)

in your opinion that is

In mine he was

How is that even an argument? If everyone sticks to their opinions why even bother coming here right? Your opinion is baseless because you are not providing the reasoning behind it. Mathieu was definitely not our worst signing in last few years. For example Arda and Douglas are much worse signings.

That's your opinion
In my eyes he is one of the worst we've ever had

Denis, Gomes, Arda, Vermaelen, and Douglas were all much worse signings. That automatically puts him out of the top 5. Then there's players like Paco and Digne to give competition even then...

You are not paying attention
I didn't say he's the worst
I am saying he is one of the worst.
My list of the worst players we have signed includes him, together with vermaelen, douglas and others

Nope. He is not. He contributed to titles. Some key contributions that too. So by default he is not a bad signing. It is the coach fault to continuously play him even if he is well past it. Sticking him into LB over and over is a stupid decision which I will never understand.

haha Marlboro man being a boss.

Now seriously, he did his job as best as he could and was pretty decisive in some important moments (RM and Celta goals come to mind). Sure he also flopped in some matches but who didn't over the last couple of years? And as average as he is considered, he was also let down by a clueless manager, like the rest of the team really.

Good luck!

I think he was decent signing, last year was ruined by injuries, but his first 2 seasons were fine and he scored some important goals on the way. As someone said, didnt expect more, nothing too shiny, nothing to horrible either, if only he would have only played CB.
