Really impressed me a lot in this game. He has that fighter mentality, and is really a truly great CB - I mean, if he was 27 years old his price of 20m would be an absolute non-issue, which I don't think it is regardless for that matter.

Can't wait to see him in the next friendly against Napoli, hopefully he starts that one together with Bartra, they played great together.

I always knew and said that he's a great addition to our squad, definitely better than both Pique, Marc and Javier. He'll make mistakes, but let's not forget the one's that Gerard made during the last seasons, and a lot of you forgave him.

I still do not like his price. In Valencia he showed that he is a good player but 20 mil. is too much.

But that aside, I wish him the best of luck and think that today's game could have been the start of a successful time for him.

I suggest you to hold your horses before making such conclusions base on "one" match. There is a long season ahead and I'll expect much laugh to come if Mathieu start to make blunders.
