He can and I assume when Alba pushes up and the defense falls into a back 3, Mathieu would be the LB...We've been linked to him in a few transfer windows, he's quality with good leadership qualities on the pitch...Almost always plays excellent against us, as well

He mentioned today that he plans to stay at Valencia next season. Seems like all our options at CB are running out again ;)

Its about being sensible and not just approach players that are unavailable. We can get players like Dede, Aurier and Laporte for sure.

Valencia don't want to negotiate on Mathieu's transfer. If Barcelona want him, they should pay around 35M (20M buyout+15M taxes) [as marca]

No way that we'll pay 35M for Mathieu.

Btw, I read that Valencia has a super-rich new owner (Peter Lim), and that they plan to keep all their star-players and will recruit a lot of new talent too this summer. Is that correct?

35 mil for Mathieu is tottaly absurd. If it would ever happen it would be a move of desperation with all other options unavailable and still feel wrong. Hell no..

Yeah, last week he already had a meeting with the Valencia boss too, he's surely playing his part to reduce the 20M-transferfee, nice.

If only Marquinhos could do the same...

Not the same situation even if he does.

PSG is way more powerful than Valencia.

We would have no problem to pull a Klopp/Lewa situation if we want. Blanc is like Klopp since Nasser gave him the right to choose who stays and who leaves.

Something Valencia would never do i guess.

+1. It is a thousand times more a difficult transfer with PSG.
