That's fantastic news. Really hope he's got it fully under control now. He's a quality player and deserves to be at a World Cup.

I'm not sure. He didn't help this Spanish team to get through tiresome qualificiations, did he? And now he should get a reward with a ticket to World Cup?
If he solved his "home-sickness" then he can wait few months more imo.

Moved to Jesus Navas thread.

True, it comes down to whether or not they want to take the potentially best RW they have or stay true to those who helped out in qualification.

That said, there's a whole bunch of players in qualification who were always on the bench and didn't do all that much to help the team to get to the World Cup, and a lot of them will still get a place in the squad, so I don't see why Navas can't, especially if he's in great form come the end of the season.

Exactly, there were only certain players who were actually used in the quals. It's not as if Spain had a tough group either, it was a walk in the park so it didn't require epic performances from anyone. Just because qualifying is over shouldn't mean the door is closed in terms of the squad. Navas deserves a chance to stake a claim and the fact is he's better than many of the players currently in that squad.

immaculately conceived
I would love to see him play this international break. It could be a boost if this goes well and let's be honest, a player like Navas needs to be there at the WC when his country plays.

And I hope Pablo gets his lesson for his characterless rants on Navas

Also the commentators on Revista de la Liga said he couldn't eat for 3 days when Sevilla were abroad for their pre-season... hope he's doing well now

Hernandez?

Really? I liked that guy.

What did he say?

"Sevilla are playing their cards, although the coach always has the last word. Navas was not involved and takes time for alleged psychological problems and now seems to be recovered. It's not up to me or Navas, of course if it were up to me the choice would be Pablo.

Personally I would not like that my club made a campaign to put me in the national team as is done by Sevilla. A player has to prove on the pitch and then the coach will call whoever on merit and not because of a campaign or because the club president applies pressure."

Only a bloody bitch that he is rants that way

On Revista they were doubting him going to South Africa. But at least he will get a cap for his country.

That's pretty lame of Pablo, I thought he was alright. Yes he's been very good for Valencia this season, but Navas has been awesome for a few years now. He would have been called up dozens of times if it wasn't for his illness. He deserves his call up.

IMO, those who've featured through the Qualifiers & helped their NT qualify to the WC proper should be the ones deserve to be going. Not, those who've just realised they 've gotten over some prob & need to be a part of the WC squad all of a sudden. U can't expect to be a part of the spectacle when u havn't played the difficult part. This one is really left to Del Bosque's discretion & no amount of lobbying & campaign should influence the manager's decision in this.
