Jesús Navas

'coz they made themselves available when they were called-up. They were present when the team needed them even if it meant warming the bench. U need to value that. It's just the way i see it & i'm not saying i'm right.

Yeah but those players never had an illness like Navas. I've never suffered from homesickness but it's not good at all from what I've heard, my dad said it feels like a terrible pain on the inside, all because you are too far from home. If he wasn't sick he'd have been playing for Spain for a while now IMO.

I thought he'd have been Moorish, seen as sooo many people have his kind of look in that part of Spain, apart from the eyes lol. Brilliant player though. He's supposed to be working hard on his anxiety thing to give himself a chance with Spain. Hopefully he can overcome it. Bit of a Trescothick situation.

He's not moorish, he's a gypsy (roma).

Yup, there are a lot of Andalucians with Moorish ancestry but even more with Romani. Like my friend's professor once said, "Andalucia is full of gypsies!"

 I dunno why but the way you put it, especially the quote, it made me laugh. There aren't as many as much as in Hungary though, at least I'd think not proportionally. The thing is in Hungary there has been a massive violent reaction against gypsies, because the vast majority live off state welfare and continue to have children, so up to 8-10 kids per family quite often. So there's been a horrible backlash. However, the gypsies have done the same, often scaring tourists away and walking around in gangs of up to 200(!!!) on the streets kicking over rubbish bins, blaring music, throwing bottles in the evenings.

Also, once a roma was found on a night-time bus stabbed and murdered by a ninja sword, so the media and the Socialist Party started blaming skinheads and white extremists, and they said the rightist parties were responsible. Later the police investigation found that in fact it was another roma who had stabbed him, for refusing to pay back a loan or something.

Navas was absolutely brilliant Wednesday night. I was somewhat afraid he would continue this for onto Saturday, but for once he had a quiet game. Outstanding player.

You have to experience it to know it. And beef is speaking because he knows what he's talking about. And it's not racial. And it's far from that Westernized image of sympathic gypsy with a guitar. In Balkans and Hungary and some other central European countries more than 90 percent of them refuse to integrate into society. Vast majority of them dont want to work as they are accustomed to scrounge off or steal to support themselves. They submit to crime, don't go to schools, use children to go from house to house as beggars while, their fathers, often with several wives (often minor wives) live in a big house and claim support from the state. And yes they have 8-9 children to get even more state support and have more working drones to send them barefoot to beg. Sad on the children. And when they grow up they dont know anything better and the circle is closed.
As for their teens and ganging and stealing, it's a more sinister thing to go into now.. As a kid me and my friend were robbed by some gypsy with a knife. And that wasn't that unusual either.
Living on brinks of civilization for so long inevitably leads you to clash with the society that evolved over those centuries while you are stuck to your primitive forms of behavior.
