This is key, I can't remember the last time a forward as slow as Fati has ever achieved world class status. Fans were just too optimistic.Yes, you can fantasize about what ifs, but it's pure speculation. His pace was poor for a final 3rd player even before pre injury. Most of the fans based their opinions after some shots that are hard to pull off consistently.
Only because of Flick. Under Xavi, they all looked like we wasted our future money on bums. His transfer window will go down in history, Kounde, Raphinha and Lewy.
A bit of a stretch that.Only because of Flick. Under Xavi, they all looked like we wasted our future money on bums.
Of course I exaggerate here and it isn't my opinion in that words anyways. Just the general opinion overall though the last 2 years. Especially Rapha and Lewy were considered many times as wasted money. I also wanted to exchange Rapha for Nico in the summer, but I also predicted he would benefit from Flick's fast pace. So a bit of everything and here we are now thanks to Flick, having the current most exciting forward line in the world.A bit of a stretch that.
We won't the league with those players, playing vital roles.
Flick has definitely improved them though
I pity the fools who thought raph was a waste of money, but you are right they were many here, who were primarily convinced by one very loud voice, that he was.Of course I exaggerate here and it isn't my opinion in that words anyways. If we win the league this season, people need to swallow their pride and admit they were wrong, even if we don't win the league.
We tried to tell them, being a leader is more than just a power point presentation, some intangibles you are just born with or develop over time.
They said no, those below you, could replace him easily, we saw how that worked out.
We told them the levers were a necessary evil, they cried for years about it, the ship is slowly starting to turn around.
We told them, the money spent on transfers was money well spent and the players were good, they cried for years about signing the wrong players blah blah blah.
We told them, a dollar today is worth more than a dollar tomorrow, they failed to understand one of the most basic rules in business.
We said we could sign 1 high profile player in the summer, they whined it was the wrong one and that we promised two.
Really not much we didn't tell them.
I have little doubt in Laporta. He is gonna create a 3rd dominating cycle. I'm more worried about what clown we're gonna pick next for the usual destruction job that follows.
What a transfer window he had in 2022.
Kounde, Lewandowski and Raphinha…
God damn.
