Jonathan Dos Santos

I walk the line
he's a pivot in a volante/enganche's body, that's the problem. he's too pragmatic to play in an advanced role and he's too small to play in a defensive role (where he would be much better) - it's a shame, but not unexpected. especially with Thiago showing he can pretty much do anything offensively.

It's a shame he doesn't have his brother's physical presence. Gio was a player with a lot of potential who got completely screwed by inheriting his father's attitude through being managed by him. He wouldn't be a starter for fcb, but he could either have been be a very useful squad player, or a starter for a decent epl team. It's no surprise that he's getting moved between Turkish clubs. He had a lot of lower-body strength and he started to develop the upper-body strength, and tenacity, to go with it. Had jonathan had that stature he wouldn't be in the unfortunate position he's in today. HOWEVER I don't think that he was too pragmatic to play in an advanced role. He is young and had/has a lot of talent. Thiago has shone ahead of him, that can't be denied, but he is a victim of being in the era of an awesome fcb team.

What happened? A few months ago he was the next big thing together with Thiago.

Shocking considering he was tipped as most likely to be promoted last summer.
I trust Lucho and co. know what they are doing though. It's still a major disappointment.

His contract runs out, and we don't seem to extend it if I'm right...so I think he won't stay, because we won't let him stay.

I see, I thought he still had a running contract.

“I’m very comfortable here, in Barça B and in the Second Division, a competition in which there is a lot of quality and a high level of play. Being at Barça is an opportunity that shouldn’t be wasted. In addition, Pep Guardiola remains with the first team and is a coach that places a lot of trust in the quarry [the youth system], so I’m very happy”

“The first thing is to stay until the end of the season and then things may happen”

”The most important thing is daily work and little by little you will progress. You must work hard to be up there [the first team] someday.”

We were hearing the same about his brother too, but after that we saw that our staff's judgment was right

but gio was a dick... this kid seems to have a solid attitude and i think the club should resign him to play in barca B and see how much farther he can develop....its not a bad thing that he wants to stay

I dunno. After those stories about the sex party during his time with the Mexican National time I figured his focus was not sharp enough to make it to the top. Hopefully he straightens that out.

Its not really a surprise. Hes almost 21. And Thiago is better then him in all ways. Now that we have also Afellay, who is only 4 years older and has tons more experience. There is no future for him here I think.

I can't feel ma face!
Give it time, how old is he? 21? 20?
Honestly he will never reach Xavi's/Iniesta's lvl, but maybe can come close. But then again, who can? (Maybe Thiago)
