Jordi Alba

He's still a defensive liability most of the time. Milan in both legs were trying to constantly attack down Alba's flank. Alves gets much of the blame and Dani's crossing wasn't exactly on par but Alves is much better defensively and somebody who has done the job on big occasions as well. So many times Alba looks jittery and leaves his man with a lot of space. I would be much happier with a more tactically aware and defensively sound fullback like Abidal playing in the big games. Milan are a very young and inexperienced side upfront and were missing Pazzini otherwise this result could very well have been different.

You are correct but we have to consider the strengths of Milan as well .In Abate they have a really pacy full-back and Boateng operates well on right flank to put in crosses or play a through ball.On the other hand Constant and ElSha don't combine well and were not even good today .

His last-ditch tackle was very crucial but that doesn't take away the many other occasions when he lets players get in behind him and allows them acres of space. The second Milan goal in the San Siro was a result of a ball down Alba's wing and anybody could see that he was the one that the opposition were trying to target. They were trying to target Alba's flank on both legs and much of Milan's dangerous counter-attacks were a result of plays down that side.

One of the players I admire the most, he just never gives up. He keeps running and would do anything for this club.

Just imagine messi playing as a right winger or alba as a left defender.. Messi and alba like messi alves would be .... Tooo bad for everyone.. They can feel lucky that they dont play on the same wing
