Jordi Alba

If Montoya really plays as a LB, which is not even his usual position, be sure that Ancelotti will aim him like he's the border patrol in Machete - shoot to kill.

Terrible, terrible news. We cannot afford to lose Alba. Especially not while Adriano and Puyol are out. Abidal will most definitely not play, especially not in the Champions League. Although it seems bad at the moment, I really hope it's nothing serious and that he'll be fine. Is this his first injury since he came to Barcelona?

Alba could have a muscle tear. More tests tomorrow. Out for France game, doubtful for PSG game in ten days. #fcblive [catalunya radio]
If new tests tomorrow confirm the thigh muscle tear, Jordi Alba will return to Barcelona #fcblive #brazil2014 [rac1]

I really hate international breaks.

Damn it. And with Adriano out as well, Montoya to play as lb... sigh.

Well, it's been his usual position lately (not counting bench nor stands).

Now that I think about it, a 3-2-2-3 would be ideal against PSG. Play with 2 DM's in Song and Busquets. Put Mascherano, Puyol, and Pique at the back. I think we'll still be okay but I wouldn't feel confident in Montoya starting.

Puyol is in recovery. He will not play for the next 6 weeks at least.

I think his last game (or maybe last 2?) was at LB. But by all means, it's not his usual position. It's where he plays when there's no one else to play LB. He's significantly better on the right.
