Wow, I wonder what would happen if a non-moderator called a player "a piece of shit". Class.

He needs to work on his attitude... that is, the manager or whoever else needs to have a grown-up talk with him. His playing is brilliant 90% of the time, I have no complaints there. I was absolutely shocked to see him do what he did to get that yellow. We were all worried about him and Pique getting yellows and missing the second legs, and everything's going well, then he goes and does that. What a selfish, amateur thing to do.

I probably should have specified that part... I meant everything was going well regarding him not getting a yellow card up until that point. I was sure that either Pique or Alba would make a yellow-card foul or something. It didn't even occur to me that they'd make it through the game without making that kind of foul, and then get a yellow for their behavior. That's just stupid.

That's true, but some players just have a temper.

When Barca were winning everything they had 1 defensively capable, good in the air fullback in Abidal to help CBs.

Signing Alba would've been a great signing if we didn't already have Dani Alves. We needed a fullback who can actually defend like Abidal with decent height to provide some aerial stability in defence.

Same goes for every player really. Most people can only remember the last game.. take a look at the Messi thread. Some people were actually saying we should sell him after the Bayern game.

Yup. I can understand the hate on players who have been underperforming all season, like Sanchez, Pedro, Pique and Alves (though he has had some great games), but this is getting ridiculous.

I think a new CB and bringing back the pressing should be enough. I can see Alves/Alba working with a new CB and better pressing.

Alba is a beast, our best signing in ages. He didn't have a single bad game up until maybe a few weeks ago. He's absolutely phenomenal.

This. Like I said, I can understand the "sell Sanchez," "sell Pedro," "sell Alves," etc posts since they've been shit or inconsistent all season. But Alba? He's been amazing all season, aside from a few bad games. Not to mention he's arguably the best LB in the world. He was an absolute bargain at 13m too.
