Jordi Alba

Why not blame him for his actions? He threw a ball in a guy's face and got suspended for the return leg. I very much blame him for that. He gets paid millions to do the OPPOSITE of what he did.

Who I am to judge him?
He tried his best out there on the pitch. From what I saw he tried gave his best for the club I love, why I should blame him?
Jumping in and say "stupid!" "fool!" "shameful!" isn't my type.

I remember being laughed out of here when I suggested last season that we needed to buy a more defensively capable LB.

It's allright to play offensive minded fullbacks against most of what La Liga has to offer (even then we have conceded goals but we usually out-score teams in La Liga) but when you face the truly elite sides, you're going to come across some truly specially wing players who've got speed and ability to take on people and you can't have weaknesses at the back. As we saw against Milan as well, Munich largely attacked Alba's flank at every opportunity they got even though Ribery is a better player than Robben.

Worthless today, and stupid to. But it's not his fault we choose to buy and play 2 ultra offensive fullbacks - one of which can't defend. Yeah, I'm talking about Alba - Alves at least puts in some defensive displays worth a fullback. Alba is just a winger that tries to do some defensive duties. Play him in La Liga or against weaker opponents.

Hey, he's short, Catalan and a La Masia graudate so all should be well with him.

Alba is our best signing in years. He's defensively more than capable, he just had a bad night. Like all of our other players did. What the hell are we supposed to say about Alves, then? The guy hasn't been in defense since last season, yet he gets no stick? Ridiculous.

Because we almost always played with 2 CB's, 1 'defensive' LB and Alves did his thing in attack - we played a 3-4-3 with Alves higher up. I also like Alba, but he can't defend against stronger teams in important matches - he gets pushed around like he wasn't even there. Looks like football changed the last 1-2 years - players in top teams (like Bayern) are technical, fast (we got those 2 down) and strong (we fail miserably on this).

.....Alba has been a far better defender than Alves this season (who was largely responsible for a lot of goals we've conceded since January)

This game was horrible from Alba though. Plus that part at the end was very unprofessional on his part. He needs to control his temper and stop getting out of control in situations like this.

Yeah, Alba was crap today, but the rest of the season he's been superb... Except for his antics, which he needs to work on...

He's been fantastic most of the time this season & for the price we got him for, definitely a great piece of business. But I agree with others, he needs to mature & work on his temper. This isn't the first time he's done something stupid after getting angry.

This guy was a big disgrace today. He's quietly becoming a piece of shit lately and I'm starting to lose respect for him. At first I thought they were just one offs but his cry baby, poor sport attitude has become more prevalent lately. We don't need that crap, and I'm glad the Don Iniesta stepped up right after (Alba robben incident) Iniesta proceeded to foul someone and offered his hand like a real athlete. Made me happy to see that.

Well he was a poor loser at Valencia (could be mistaken for Soldado's brother), we saw it at the Olympics and we've see it with us. Another one that needs several lessons from El Tiburon .

As much as I like the guy for his talent and speed, he needs to be scolded and shouted at. Be mature and professional, you have a great career ahead of you.
