Great game going forward last night and dont want to piss on his chips but the amount of space Nigeria got down the right due to him bombing forward was unreal.

Winger in acres of space and defence pulled out of shape trying to cover looked all a bit familiar.

True that. Nigeria had so much space on their right wing and they were so close to exploit those mistakes done by Alba, which was somehow balanced with the more defensive role for ArbeLOLa on the opposite side.

But those goals were pure genius from him.

I dont think Arbeloa did balance it out. The other three in the back four were all over the shop trying to close down the space left by Alba.

It used to work at Barca with Puyol and Abidal covering for Alves as Puyol could step out and was comfortable in the full back areas and Abidal could tuck in and cover at center half.

Spain dont have that and were lucky not to concede a couple last night.

Alba: "One thing I have to change - I should control myself better on the pitch. I'm very impulsive, but I should learn from my mistakes."

I'm glad he acknowledged this, and knows he has to change.

Chances coming for the other team down his side again tonight.

How good he is going forward is cancelled out by how bad he is at defending and the space he leaves.

It's definitely not "cancelled out", his positive aspects far outweigh his negatives
