Improvin' Perfection!!
It's sad that people post the crap they do.

It's actually gone to the point it being difficult to distinguish who's trolling and who's not.
Trolls would just say 'Sell Pique'

Fools would say 'Sell Pique. He was never good any way!!'

So come on man... You could spot them :troll:

Haha, true Estel, true.

But you know what I meant by that. Too much trolling is too much.

Great way of using quotes from around the times Pique has actually played bad. Quite a clever approach there. I suppose I'd be able to find quotes on some of the other first team players that have had bad game and arrange them in a suitable timeline to support my argument to make it look more convincing.

I think you should start with Messi's thread..there are some epic post there.

He's played better recently

Of course he did. His red card that could have costed us another 3 points in La Liga aside, he brilliantly stopped the waves after waves of attacks from the great Leverkusen who were bossing possession with 20 %. Helped his team to grind out a narrow but respectable 7-1 victory with his heroics. At first I was holding my breath when Derdiyok looked like scoring, missing the open net just closely from a 89° angle. But then I saw Pique bossing it. MOTM. Piquenbauer. :worthy:

The people still buying his hype. Meta at least has a reason to stick to him since he judged him the next Beckenbauer for years now. Admitting that's he's rather a David Luiz copy won't be so cool now. :worthy:

Indeed. Does sound tempting to be fair, especially given Messi's slight dips in form which occur once in a while over the course of one season.

Mate, read through his thread. It's not one or two games. He's being criticised for over a year now that he "should stop banging Shakira and get in form again". He's clumsy, unconcentrated and a liability more often than he should be. On top of that he pulls things off that go beyond just being "off form" on the pitch. Why do you think Pep played only B players in our last dead rubber CL group game against BATE but took Pique as the only "senior" player with him and sat him on the bench? That was back in December. There is a story behind it. Like him sitting on the stands against Leverkusen away in February. People here acting like he's just off form for a few weeks are disturbing. I'm a Barcelona fan. Not a Pique fanboy.

Look, I full-heartedly agree with you that Pique at the current has been lacking in the departments of concentration, not giving a toss and being tad clumsy. Furthermore his decision-making has been erratic more than desired. And I agree that Pique should sort himself out.

But, I simply disagree with the fact that he should be sold just like that without giving him the benefit of a doubt. He has served Barça quite well over the past three years and has done an outstanding job for both the club and the country. I highly doubt that he wouldn't be able to return to form given he has performed more than well enough in the past.

If he continues with faffing about instead of taking himself by the scruff and getting things done, then I'm all for considering other alternatives. But, I'd rather see sort himself out than sell the lad.

Selling him was obviously not a serious suggestion. Although I'm certain if he wasn't a Catalan youth product, Pep would seriously think about it. Not even so much because of his performances on the pitch but because of his attitude off it. Pep sold far more valueable players who have done as much if not more than Pique for the club because of their attitudes ... *cough* ... Eto'o ... * cough*

It's probably the combination of both being Catalan and the fact that has performed in the past more than well enough. Just honestly hope he'd pull his act together and just be as awesome as in 2008/09, 09/10 and 10/11.

Come on Barcelonista.

Pilip and others are completely right. Your critic of Piqué is getting a bit ridicules to say the least. Sure he has not reached his best level yet this season but nevertheless he has been more solid than people want to admit.

He ALWAYS shows up in big games. I can't remember any bad game from him against any top team on the top of my head which says a lot.

Selling him would be a complete stupidity, plain and simple. We all know how he can perform and we also all know that the best is still ahead of him due to him being more experienced which is crucial for defenders. He just turned 25 ffs. He is Catalan and an crucial part of our team.

I simply don't get it. (Also the Pedro hate)
