So Blatter is a corrupt man? He sits there and getting corrupt all by himself? Corruption means collusion with others and others means people who have money and power to make profit for Blatter. Therefore his buddy Perez is the best candidate provide food for corruption. Those "unfortunate" comments about Ronaldo gave Blatter green light to re-open BdO re-elections. No one remembers what he said about Ronaldo(if there was anything offensive at all) but everyone remembers Ronaldo getting his BdO, which attention to RM, favor to Perez. So if that old man is trying to maintain his power- it is done by the likes of Perez and other powerful people who scratch each others back and do favors for each other. The real funny thing here is that you are acknowledging that Blatter is corrupt and trying to maintain power but you refuse to see that it requires partners in crime . And last but not least: Every club and especially major clubs can be subjected to sanctions for violating something. Most of the regulation is in grey zone and FIFA or LFP officials can hammer you anytime they want.

You did not answer my main question.

How is Blatter (FIFA) hellbent on sabotaging FCB? The only thing that I can think of I already mentioned and so did you (extending the voting period for the Ballon d'Or). Other than that I have not noticed anything on this front.

Please enlighten me and others.

Blatter don't need Florentino. He only need people in FIFA's executive committee and someone for exactly what you said, collusion, for his corrupt activities.

Why would he need the President of a football club, no matter how big it is, when he is the President of the FIFA, The Governing Body of Football.

FIFA cannot sanction anyone just for the sake of it because that would be farcial and dismissed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport in an appeal.

Blatter do not need support from any club, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern or some random team in Madagascar, he need to be voted in by the condederations and associations and he got that much support that he wouldn't give a shit if RFEF votes for him or not.

Well to Bartomeu for keeping Lucho when vast majority of fans wanted him gone.

Since same old clownish and corrupt candidates will run yet again in elections, Bartomeu could very well be the safest choice.

Same old corrupt candidates? You are using that to defend a man is set to be prosecuted in the Neymar case?

Bartomeu actually done more than few things to rectify some of Rosell's mistakes and it's overboard to label him as corrupt as Rosell. Laporta was corrupt too, if you wanna look at it that way.
I really don't like other candidates that much. Most of them are clowns and would waste years before they learn how to run a club.
All I'm saying is Bartomeu staying ain't the worst option.

People call Bartomeu 'corrupt' then call for Laporta to come back make no sense.

Been through this a lot of times but you can list the things the Laporta got up to and it was absurd and much more for personal financial gain than anything Bartomeu has done.

Yeah, except Laporta has never been indicted for tax fraud and all the supposed charges Rosell and Bartomeu laid on him were dismissed by the court.

People seriously have such short memories and/or are such prisoners of the moment?

Reminder, Bartomeu has been indicted for tax fraud and could face jail-time. You seriously want the president of your club to undergo a public trial for fraud while he is presiding your club?

Come on now.

Bartomeu has not been found guilty of tax fraud yet and even then it was not for personal gain but apparently misguided attempt to lessen the tax paid on Neymar transfer as advised by those from financial sector.

Lets wait and see how that pans out.

Only recently Laporta has been in media about using club money to spy on players and club officials. He has tried to put the club on tours that he would directly make money from, he has apparently put his mistress on the payroll of Barca, paid with prostitutes on his club credit card, taken hundreds tickets meant for fans in CL finals, used club money to pay for over 100 U2 concert tickets etc!

For me Laporta ran club more for personal gain while Bartomeu has possibly been part of a misguided effort to save the club money based on outside advice.

If you are comparing Laporta v Bartomeu on who sought more personal gain from being president of Barca there is only one winner.

We are gonna win the treble. So automatically everything is forgotten. Right?

Bartomeu will undergo a public criminal trial, you serious want the president of FC Barcelona to preside over the club while undergoing a criminal trial, who could very well result in jail-time, for wrongdoings committed involving the club? Talk about dragging the club's name through the mud needlessly. Bartomeu should be totally disqualified from running for the presidency. If he's innocent, then he can clear his name and run again at a future election.

And JamDav, "misguided attempt to lessen the tax paid on Neymar transfer" are you seriously this naive or are you just such a huge fan of Rossel and Bartomeu? Ridiculous.

Has anything you've said about Laporta been proven with evidence and facts and has he faced charges and been convicted for it, or are you just running on rumors and speculations? Just asking.

I mean really? "Bartomeu staying ain't the worst option" "Bartomeu could very well be the safest choice"

A man facing criminal trial for tax fraud involving and using the club, that could very well be convicted and go to JAIL, but he's the "safest choice" and "not the worst choice"

Unreal stuff.

I dont believe for a second they were deliberately trying to commit tax fraud and I do believe they received advice on going down the route they did.

Teams all over the world get caught out on tax issues and are allowed to make up with it through payments etc. This attack on Barca is Madrid led.

If these charges got dropped or Barto found not guilty are you happy for him to continue?
