Jamdav pretty much summed up what I'm thinking.

Any way Barcelona are treated unfairly in Spain gets labelled as 'Madrid led agenda against Barcelona/Catalonia'

Messi tax case is Madrid out to get him etc..... yet the moment these same Madrid led agendas go for Barto it is evidence of corruption.

That is not a consistent view at all.

I dont believe for a second they were deliberately trying to commit tax fraud and I do believe they received advice on going down the route they did.

Teams all over the world get caught out on tax issues and are allowed to make up with it through payments etc. This attack on Barca is Madrid led.

If these charges got dropped or Barto found not guilty are you happy for him to continue?

Really now JamDav? I don't know which is worst, that they knowingly committed tax fraud or that they are so incompetent as to do it by mistake or unknowingly. Criminals or idiots.

And Madrid black hand? Really man? There are surely irregularities all over the place with this Neymar transfer, you think Madrid forced Rosell and Bartomeu to commit them?

I don't want the president of my club to preside over the team while being indicted for tax fraud committed using the club and presiding over the club. Period. Let Bartomeu do his trial and plead his case. If he's found innocent and charges dismissed, then yes, I'll be ok with him running for the presidency on a future election. Not this one. He, for me, should be disqualified for this election.

And if he's found guilty, what then?
Even worse, if the club is also found guilty?

They have really done enough, they don't deserve to be at the helm of this club. Topping it off with next season's kit horizontal atrocity.

Yeah, yeah, attack on Barca being Madrid led.

What gave them the opportunity to attack the club in the first place though?

No one's even saying Laporta is innocent. It's just funny how one great season can forgive everything. I bet most people would've wanted Bartomeu and the rest of the board out had our season not gone as well as it has.

There are irregularities which made the authorities look into it, unlike in the Messi case where the tax authorities and the prosecution decided to drop the case against him, but got overruled by a judge.

Not criminals or idiots but acting on the advice of those in financial sector who said deal is legit. Bending tax rules but legit. Which hundreds of clubs around the world have done and been allowed to rectify.

Say for example Laporta gets taken to court for spying on players and officials in previous term..do you think that should stop him being president?

No one's even saying Laporta is innoncent. It's just funny how one great season can forgive everything. I bet most people would've wanted Bartomeu and the rest of the board out had our season not gone as well as it has.

You miss the point totally and are acting exactly like I said people do...scoff at the 'Madrid led agenda' in situations that dont suit you.

Do you you think the attack on Messi tax issue is Madrid led?

Do you think that the officials in La Liga are influenced from Madrid?

If a president of a club gets taken to criminal court, nor civil, for some wrongdoing involving the club and the wrongdoing is of significant magnitude, yes, the president should immediately step down.

Besides, this is not the point. Were's not talking about a current president but a future one after a recent election. Bartomeu will run for presidency while under indictment. There's no excuse.

I'm not scoffing at anything. For Madrid to attack anything they need to have something to attack and the current board handed them everything on a platter by being complete idiots and I won't even comment on the sporting aspect of the club which has gone apeshit, in all departments and not only football related stuff.

And if they listened to 'the wrong people with the wrong advice' and didn't care enough to think for themselves then that itself displays incompetence in handling the financial aspect of the club.

You are not dealing in reality.

Every club in the world will take external advice all the time and those that have in past and been wrong have not been treated the way Barca have.

Do you think it is Messis fault he has been charged with tax fraud? Or should Messi and his father know the laws inside out?

Madrid is surely influencing his fast this thing is happening.
But Barto is a close friend of rosell. And rosell is corrupt. I really can't believe they could've been led to think they were bending the rules, but not breaking it. The fact a large sum was already paid as taxes is also indicative of blame to me.
Rosell knows very well how all this works.

No one should be stopped from running if they are legally able.

That said, screw this board. Board members, present and future, should learn the hard way not to fuck about with fcb.

Good intentions aren't enough and of course that particular excuse can only be used so many times.
Voting down Bartomeu would send a clear message in that direction and it is up to the socios to define their own legacy.

Who are they employing that's advising them to commit criminal activity? Are they employing hack accountants and financial advisers that cannot tell the difference between legal tax avoidance and illegal tax evasion? If they're such incompetent fools that cannot hire the right people and make the right decisions, then they are not fit to run the club.
