For spending 100m on with the exception of umtiti crap, based on how the team ended last season any reasonable board should have seen that the need was indeed if a reset.

But the sporting director he appointed, wasted all that money, they should have spent that 100m on two or three high class players

Bartomeu is afraid of confrontation and he isn't comfortable being out in the public voicing his concerns, and he is also trying to keep a low profile because of the Neymar case. Not the most charismatic person either.

In Spain however, where the system is against you, you need to make public statements, so that it attracts the attention of foreign media too, and indirectly use that to put pressure on the existing system.

This board is trying to play the same game behind the scenes which Florentino and the Real Madrid board plays, but it's a game they just cannot win. They should ideally go for the other approach.

Every coach got his own share of wrong acquisitiosn , but the way the young players are hammered in this forum day in day out is nauseating. FFS even mature players need time to adapt in their new club(remember Gareth Bale's first year?) but we are talking about young guys with lots of talent trying to integrate to clubs play-style being viciously attacked by this forum. Arda and Vidal are the screw up transfers I was referring to. Young talents are Denis, Paco, Gomes that are being hammered on daily basis on this forum.
