His signature is on the neymar transfer paper along with Rosell.....

This.

Don't get what Rosell thought when he decide to spare his buddy(so he could continue to build on his legacy by messing up the club) by taking all the blame himself. Bartomeu signed the freaking papers. He was the 1st VP of FC Barcelona and in charge of the economic and strategy area. This transfer would not have gone through without his permission because he was the one who released all the funds for it.

Its no secret Rosell and Barto signed the document they did that right on front of the cameras at the time.

They have never tried to hide that.

Sandro Rosell said Bartomeu had no knowledge about this and tried to 'save him'.

What does this all mean? There was supposed to be a press release today?

Sandro had to bend rules to get Neymar to Barca and I think now we're all very happy he did it.

Exactly. What was the alternative- Neymar signs with Real? Don't blame them for doing this. I'm sure other clubs would have done the same thing. If you think about it: we got Neymar and Rosell moved out. Can't get better than that.

He could have brought him and paid the taxes. I don't think one thing prevented the other. He tried to make it look like the deal was cheaper than it was, with many smaller contracts.

I thought all of those smaller contracts came out at the time of the transfer, things like that will happen all the time.

Whoever got Neymar it was going to be a messy deal and I dont think they deliberately decided to carry out tax fraud. They would have been given advice that they could get round the tax in other ways.

There is very little chance that Rossel would have deliberately taken the risk to save 10/12m on this transfer when it was going to be his biggest legacy at the club.

Did they make a mistake with the tax? Looks like it as they paid more back. Was this deliberate attempted fraud? For me thats unlikely.
