Juan Guillermo Cuadrado

Mourinho is pretty crappy in the transfer market tbh. Whether Mou rates a player or not doesnt say that much about a player. Barcelona doesnt park the bus anyway so why should we care what Mou thinks about him?

He is a good player no doubt about it. He could be our new Gio van Bronckhorst, but on the right. I can only think of the two-footed Jordan Amavi as a way better option than Cuadrado tbh. Maybe Mario Fernandes from CSKA as well, but other than that, the market isnt great for RB options.

As a player who relies on his pace and trickery, he is 27 already and that's not beneficial. Better buy somebody younger.

So in your eyes a manager who gets 70M plus Eto'o for a big match choker or 60M for a CB who often doesn't look like one is crap?

The likes of Sneijder, Lucio, Milito, Özil, Varane, Modric, Zouma, Matic or Costa will also disagree.

The problem is not with Mou, this has been going on since the Carlo days. Seems like they have a habit of going after players just for the sake of having something to do, whether selling or loaning, during the transfer window. Of course when you sell so many players, you are bound to get a good deal sooner or later. The Luiz sale, and to a lesser extent Mata and Schurle, really overrated their "transfer policy" among the general media.

Lol no, almost every single player we've sold for the last 3 years has been for a profit, from Luiz, to Mata, De Bruyne, Bertrand, Salah when Fiorentina buy him and Schurrle. It's not that every single sale is like Luiz, but a profit for almost every player, whether or not they played a lot for the first team, while some didn't even play at all, is good business. We bought Azpilicueta for £7m or something, Hazard for £32, Oscar for around £20(inconsistent, but his quality has shown to be worth at least that much). Cesc and Costa were also good deals considering their quality, and the fact we won the league this season. Cuadrado wasn't the best, but we'll see where that goes, and Matic was well worth the money despite the fact we sold him off first. So our transfer policy is not actually overrated, we've been dealing extremely well for years now. But believe what you want.

I feel bad for the Lad, but even back in Italy he wasn't having the greatest of seasons. And at Chelsea he barely looked like a footballer whenever he played, which in fairness wasn't often. I wish him luck but he's nowhere near our level.

Also Carvalho, Fabregas, Drogba, Di Maria etc.

Your transfers are basically like Ronaldo's free kicks; attempt them so often that he'll eventually score a few screamers. That's basically what you guys are doing. No semblance of a long term plan at all, which in fairness, makes sense since Mou's in charge.

In the last 5 years they are more like Eden Hazard penalties(not quote). I'd be more inclined to agree on the count of Ronaldo free kicks if it were about 2007-2011. But anyway.

Nice attempt to rewrite history there. Ibrahimovic cost about €49.5 million plus Eto'o, not €70M plus Eto'o, and the transfer was down to Moratti, and Branca's negotiating skills, and Barcelona's insistence on signing him. Mourinho went on record as being angry to lose Zlatan.

If you want to talk about Mourinho's signings for Inter though, I'm surprised you left out unqualified success stories like Muntari and Quaresma.

Lol, Marina isn't a transfer slouch like those in charge of transfers at everywhere barring Real Madrid. Wouldn't surprise me at all if she got something close to the price we paid, providing we sell him.

Ppl should question how Roman's new assistant Marina is able to make these deals. Its very fishy. It is not logical that players go for more than they were bought for when they are unwanted and has a flop status and a massively oversized wage at their current club.
