Could start this weekend as Cesc is a doubt for Villa. Hope so, I want to see him get some decent time.

What happened to this lad? He virtually looks nothing like the player he was at the World Cup. I know he has barely taken part since joining Chelsea but the little he's been on the pitch he has been lifeless.

I know he wasn't having the most prolific season in Serie A this year, and I never pegged him as a Mourinho player, strange that he went for him when the likes of Dybala and Felipe Anderson were the real gems this season who would cost just about the same.

He seems likable but I get the impression Mourinho is worried.

Let's see what he does next season.

Well Mou said not long after signing him that he doesn't expect him to get to his best until next season. Whether it's because he actually believes that or just didn't want to play him too much this season because he was settled on a starting XI remains to be seen.

Rumour has it he may return to Italy on loan. In any other case I'd say that wouldn't make any sense but after seeing him play for Chelsea, that might just be the best solution for both parties.

he has played 343 minutes in the whole 2nd half of the season in all tournaments for Chelsea.
He was never injured in that time, simply not used.

Man, that's such a shame. Watching him play in Fiorentina and then in the WC I really thought the following season was going to be a breakthrough for him, with us showing interest and all. But it has been anything but.

Perhaps we can sign him this time around, and ease him into the RB position? :lucho:

He was neither bad nor good, he was just average whenever he got what little chance he did. No impact, but not a disaster. Talk of him leaving are rumours for now, Mou seems to want to give him another year, he did say he think he'll be better next season, and said that some months ago. His opinion could have changed since he said that though.

mou also said after salahs first season, that he's going to be a starter the next season... mou is saying all kind of stuff when the day is long

Well in all honesty Salah did pretty decently when given the chance in the 2nd half of last season, but he never performed anything near that whenever he got the chance this season. Plus, you don't drop Hazard for Salah, and Willian is most definitely better suited to the team, while Oscar was better in the first half of the season as well before his dip. Salah was pretty much awful every time he played for us this season, even Schurrle was better.

Where will Cuadrado play, as our RB? Haha, no thanks. No way I want a player to be one of my team's defenders when Mourinho, king of parking the bus even when 1 goal up and 1 man up, doesn't rate him.

In all seriousness, the player was never rated as a defender. He is absolutely not what we need. Replacing Alves is very difficult, but there are way better options.
