Chelsea have apparently lodged complaints of racial abuse by Clattenburg towards both Mata & Mikel...Should they thank JT, the End Racism campaign or England's indignation?

Read an interesting article on Goal. The spirit of Drogba lives on in Mata. Seems true, he comes to our rescue most of the time, like Drogba has many times in the past.

Shows how naive you are to think Goal are how they used to be. The fact that footballers speak directly with them shows how far they've come. Plus it's an editorial, not some rumour mill article.

Naive fool.

Mata - 13 goals and 20 assists already this season. Going from strength to strength. Between him and van Persie for this seasons Player of the Year award, though van Persie is likely to lead his side to the Premiership title, lots of stability at Man Utd, sadly not at Chelsea.

Could have had many more assists but for Torres, who is an absoloute disgrace might I add. Be interesting to see how Oscar and Hazard's second seasons transpire.

Random fact of the day : Juan Mata's nickname is 'Johnny Kills', which is what you get when you literally translate his name to English. :O

He's getting more and more efficient. Even with an underperforming Chelsea side. Should be higher than Silva in the pecking order for Spain. One of the best in the world and will make the ballon d'or final 23 man list this year (don't know why Drogba got on it last year over him).

No, he has 20 assists and 13 goals (21 if you include the fact his cross yesterday led to an own goal). I've kept a small table for another forum because those sources are so untrustworthy. Regardless, he's the most productive Spanish player, still only 24 years old too, can't quite dictate a game like Xavi can, although he's never been given the freedom to do so, but he's incredibly deadly in the final third, also has arguably the best first touch in Europe. Very rarely i'd ever say this, but for £23m he was an absoloute steal, especially when you consider the fact far less talented players are going for much more in todays market.
