Jude Bellingham

He is a DM, right?

If signed, it means Tchouameni wont play there, and instead will play CM.

Anyway, we need rb and lb, and a striker more than another midfielder, but perhaps we are going to play 6 midfielders next season.

For the national team he's played as an 8. Don't think he's deployed as a DM much for Dortmund as that's usually Emre Can and the Turkish fella who's name escapes me.

Perez still doesn't understand the big picture in football, nor is he qualified to play the role of an SD

Amassing top, even WC, players is not enough if you don't have a plan how to use them

It's like the old times when he thought that Becham Zidane Figo all together would make them stronger and sold Makelele to Chelsea

But Perez understands business and asset management. He can sell any of Cama, Valverde, Tchou to the EPL and make profit (or break even of amortization in case of Tchou).

We have these players first seasons and we sell at a loss.

So adding Bellingham is not effecting the books negatively, be it 50m or 120m signing.

Sporting wise none of the midfielders they currently have are replacing Kroos or more Importantly Modric on the offensive game. That is where Bellingham would be targeted to impact.

So it makes sense to me that they would go for him given they haven't got the eye for development In this position like us.

CM or CAM, never a DM

He is a much better version of Henderson, if that hepls.
His skills are his runs, off the ball movement, pressing, intensity, arriving in the box to score

He is not a destroyer, not a controller, not a passer nor dribbler

My hot take is Perez will end up getting rid of Valverde instead of Cama or Tchouameni for Bellingham.

BvB want between 120-150m

Kudos to Bellingham for rejecting oil money clubs (PSG City) that were in for him, and giving priority to historical clubs. His preferences were Liverpool and Madrid

Yeah, he is not DM at all, he is more of an AM or CAM than anything else, I don't think he can be that effective as a CM. If he goes to Madrid, that spells the end of Camavinga, right? Because Tchoumani can play CM or even DM?

It makes little sense for Madrid to have him when they already have Camavinga but I guess they have to get the hottest young midfielder of today. I have watched Dortmund's game here and there this season and he is quite good.

Camavinga might end up a LB at the end, which won't be the worst outcome for them. Valverde is more of a 4th midfield option IMO rather than a guy to build midfield around. @xXKonan has a good point that Perez might sell him to generate margin to but another midfielder.
A Tchoumeni & Bellingham would be good start for midfield trio, they will then miss a controller but will likely have funds for it.

Madrid will have incredibly dynamic midfielders, but as many others say they'll lack the niche set of skills of Modric and Kroos.

Cama has looked solid at DM whenever he's focused. Could be his spot with Tchou and Bellingham in front of him.

I usually think English players are overrated but he's a real deal imo. Great signing for Madrid unfortunately.

Would prefer to pay 100m for him than waste that money on likes of Ferran and Raphinha but it is what it is.

If we were buying him, we would pay 300mil.

Well, we are always in the mess, while Madrid can be quiet for season or two and buy Mbappe and Bellingham, while we are linked with Guido Rodriguez.

I find this take weird be it from Cule or madridistas whenever said

It's like saying "don't build a team to have a guy like Gattuso starting in it, he ain't all that". Like, whats the point being made here? Nobody said he has to be focal point but clearly a very committed player that rarely is a liability to the side in any way. He's reliable and has a track record of improving players around him. Been carrying Carvajal's bags this entire knockout CL round for one

In fact I reckon part of the appeal of having Fede out there alongside a guy like Bellingham improves the chance we will be able to press high and win ball upfield a lot more than we do if sit Kroos at 6 (since he cant track back anymore) until Tchouameni takes over in that role once gets comfortable.
