Atletico or anyone else will sign Alvarez for a lot less on books than Barca paying for Lewa.

Even then wouldnt be chasing Alvarez. Barca need more of a presence in box for him when go for next CF.

Atletico have not spent close to what Barca have in last few years and are more considered in their planning.

No guarantee Lucho will be there in 2025, and that they have a plan in place to use him well given what's happened with Ramos and Kolo Muani so far.

Being Argentine it won't be long before the pitchforks will be out for him either if he starts off slowly. PSG have been there for over a decade and have fuck all to show for.

It's a great choice if you want to maximize your earnings right now though.

Insane price for Alvarez. Makes the 58m buyout for Nico Williams look decent in comparison.
I like him, but he's not a proper #9 nor a winger. More like a second striker. Might be a good fit off Sørloth though and work very well for them.
