Kevin-Prince Boateng

Although he has his excuses, he was disappointing. Spent more time rolling on the ground than your average Neymar performance.

He was decent IMO. He had several good lay-offs with his back to goal for our runners, his passing was generally accurate, and he didn't have any chances to score. Coutinho and Suarez didn't look any better than him.

Was pleased with him too. More involved than Suarez, good mobility, strong on the ball and looks to his teammates.

It was his first game at tough ground with 2 other forwards that never play.

He has scored 61 goals in 400 games. He has never been a true forward despite the fact he might of started to play that role season. He probably will add a fairly useful dynamic, but it isn't clutch goals if Suarez or Messi are missing.

Some nice touches here and there, not going to bring a lot of goals alone but may be decent enough as a plan B to pair with Suarez.

With the Higuain, Morata merry-go-round, I can only wonder if we missed the bus by not going for Kalinic.

You mean the kalinic at atletico? If so no way. He is not a barcelona style player or a player for any team who play good passing attacking football. Boateng is alot more suited to us than he is. Don't want any of those big lumbering type of players at Barca. Leave them for atletico juve and bayern who have had plenty down the years

Why has he aged so badly? He was a pretty good and explosive #10 in his prime, but he's only 31 now and is probably a worse striker than Pique would be

It's not always age tho, i mean his "prime" was some years ago for a short period of time. Most of his career he just played ok for smaller clubs and even just became a striker in like the last 4 months. Wouldn't be too shocking if this one doesn't really work out, but it was at least a funny signing.
