Pretty certain Monaco would have accepted a lower bid from us than what they sold him to PSG for because PSG are their rivals. 160m would have been accepted IMO.

He decided to go to PSG and Real who had been chasing him for years couldnt make it happen.

Monaco dont seem bothered by PSG being a rival. They allowed him to go on loan.

I dont think we tried at all. He wasnt linked to us and we probably didnt want to spend big on an attacker as well. In the end we failed getting a midfielder and the Mbappe train has now gone and we will never sign him.

We paid 105+35.

They paid 135(LeParisien) / 140 (L'Equipe) +35/40 on LOAN.

Don't tell me we didn't have the 35m to adjust our bid. Especially on loan.

I doubt that. Loaning a player to a rival is not something fans like. So he will spin it to make it seem acceptable.
