Your problem is you’re trying to degrade a league you don’t follow. Yes, Nice finished 3rd in Ligue 1 last season, but that doesn’t make them the 3rd strongest club in France anymore than Leicester City winning the EPL in 15/16 made them the strongest club in England. PSG, Monaco and Lyon were competing on multiple fonts deep into the season while Nice was eliminated from Europe before the winter break, allowing them to focus solely on the league.

I do not agree that Napoli, Roma, and Inter are stronger than Monaco, Lyon, and Marseille and nothing from European to domestic results support that idea. That is your opinion, but it isn’t based in reality. In reality, Monaco and Lyon have the strongest results of the clubs mentioned as well as the infracture to maintain their strength into the future. As far as Ligue 1 heading down? This is also false. The competition is stronger than its ever been and growing.

You got that wrong. I'm not comparing Ligue 1 teams with Ligue 1 teams. I'm comparing Ligue 1 teams vs their Serie A counterparts. And Serie A comes on top, which is why they're the 3rd ranked league in Europe, and Ligue 1 is 5th. I don't need to extensively follow Ligue 1 to know for example that Juve, Napoli, Roma are stronger than any french team not named PSG. It's just common sense.

Nothing from European results support that idea? What about Roma winning one of the toughest groups, and Monaco finishing last in one of the easiest? Is there any better proof than that?

My fellow Barca fans (and some fans of PSG and etc) on this thread...Not sure what you think but I honestly believe this argument over the leagues, former legends, Messi, Ronaldo, PSG fans and etc is starting to get pretty tiresome, don't you think? Let's all keep it relevant and stick to discussing Mbappé, how about that?
No matter what we think of Ligue 1, PSG and etc, I honestly think Mbappé is doing pretty effin great

They come out on top in your head, but not in Europe or infrastructure(stadiums, academies). UEFA coifficents go back 5 years so using them to argue which league is stronger today is flawed. In reality, Lyon and Monaco have been stronger than every club in Italy except Juventus over the last few seasons. This is a fact.

Infrastructure? You're comparing teams like Inter, Milan, Roma, Lazio, with Monaco.

Monaco play their games in front of 10k fans, while in a Milan - Inter there are 70k in the stands. Serie A is a big historic league, always have been better than the French league and are comfortably better to this day.

Monaco is backed by a billionaire and has one of the strongest academies in Europe. Their success since their current handlers took over speaks for itself(more success than every club in Italy not named Juventus). Inter & Milan share an old arena they don’t own, while the latter club is struggling with its financial backing and will soon be looking at FFP sanctions. Lazio and Roma also share an old, crumbling arena and have academies that aren’t much to speak of.

Lyon? Brand new stadium of 60k seats that they own outright, one of the strongest academies in the world, competent owners.

Marseille? Newly renovated stadium of 60k seats, strong adcademy, new owners and manager(Rudi Garcia), etc.

don't think serie A is any better than ligue 1, the level is more of less the same and Ligue 1 is far better than the Liga Nos.
taking into consideration only the results of this season, does not mean much, in recent years Monaco has done better in Europe than any Serie A side that is not called juventus.
If Ligue 1 is so weak how is possible that some of the best players of some of the best teams in the world are ex ligue 1 players? And if the serie is so much superior why ex Serie A players are flopping all the time in others leagues?

Italian league has way more quality. I take Juventus, Roma, Napoli, Inter etc. It's not even close.

We can discuss Ligue 1 vs EPL, La Liga etc; or Mbappé vs Dembouz or Messi all day, but there is no denying this is a very impressive feat for an 18/19 year old
