Kylian Mbappé

This is the perfect example of the type of person I'm speaking of. Doesn't follow any of these leagues except La Liga and the EPL(if that) but can't help but insult leagues he knows nothing about. I don't see the purpose.

That's not an insult, it's just my ranking of the top 5 major leagues in Europe. Where do you think Ligue 1 belongs in the top 5?

It doesn't matter what PSG are doing. The other French teams need to step up which they simply aren't.

Doesn't help when they cannot keep their players and are plundered by PSG too.

Lyon, Marseille, and Nantes are stronger than they’ve been in a decade or more while Monaco is a top 20 European club. Ligue 1 clubs have improved, immensely, you just haven’t been paying attention.

Yes, but can they sustain that? How long will it be until their top players are sold? Two years?

Neither Marseille nor Lyon are in positions where they have to sell. They obviously can’t hold onto the very best of their players if they’re wanted by Europe’s biggest clubs, but the same logic applies to Dortmund, Atletico, Tottenham, etc.

They are top table teams, mid table teams like Celta, Bilbao, Sociedad & Eibar are far better than their comparions in any league.

I stated that Ligue 1 were catching up rapidly which the last 2 seasons prove but Bundesliga is still the better league overall. Might change in a season or two.

I still disagree, as clubs of that level are largely dependent upon their academies and France has the best in Europe at the moment. They also have a larger, more diverse talent pool to select from due to their African/Arab immigrants.

Well it's not really surprising that you disagree with the narrative you are pushing.

Since none of these clubs are competing in Europe, how do you compare them beyond the players they develope?

Celta almost went to the Europa League Final last season if not for the Guidetti last minute miss, Sociedad & Bilbao are currently in the Europa League. We'll see how the Lyon vs Villarreal game goes. La Liga's sixth/seventh vs Ligue 1's second/third.

Yes, and Valencia, Sevilla, and Villareal aren't stronger than Marseille, Nice, & Nantes. If they are, the difference is marginal. I'm not seeing it for the Bundesliga, France has even earned more points in Europe over the last two seasons.

Like every psg plastic fan you are really annoying.

Good talent, but Dembele is brighter. Mbappe is the next Ronaldo. His press is the best of the young guns. Imagine that some actually say he's better than young Messi. :rofl1:.

Jair Ventura, you would surely make more sense if you wouldn't be so abrubtply contradicted by real facts. The 3rd best team in France that played in CL qualifiers, Nice, got humiliated by 3rd best team in Italy. Wasn't even a fair contest, 4-0 aggregate. The issue is not that Ligue 1 is miles behind La Liga, every football buff can tell you that much. The issue is that Ligue 1 is quite some distance behind Serie A in terms of overall quality. A team like Lazio would finish 2nd in France with absolute ease.

Don't get me wrong. PSG is a top 5 team. However, Ligue 1 is slightly better than Portugal's Superliga. Actually, Benfica and Sporting, the 2nd and 3rd best teams in Portugal, are better than 2nd and 3rd place from France. Hell, Besiktas won the group with Monaco in it. Best team after PSG in France finished 4th in a group with no top team in it in CL.

I hope PSG can knock out Madrid, but then I remember them getting 6 on Camp Nou and think the tie can be over on Bernabeu, with Neymar or without him.

You apparently haven’t been following football this season but Nice isn’t the 3rd best team in France nor is Napoli the 3rd best team in Serie A. Napoli is 1st in Italy, Nice is 6th in France and have spent much of the season at the bottom of the table. They only started playing with any consistency in the last month and a half. Finally, Lazio isn’t stronger than Monaco, Lyon, and Marseille. Neither are Inter or Roma. All clubs of a similar level.

Monaco is weak, worst team in their group. Marseille haven't played in CL for a lot of years. I remember team playing Fergie's United at some point, 6 years ago or so. You're delusional.

Juventus, Roma and Napoli are stornger than any team in France not name PSG. Lazio would be too. They just beat Juventus at their own stadium. No team in France could do that apart from PSG.

You keep trying to big up Ligue 1 making up stuff.

If we are to make a top 8 combined from Ligue 1 and Serie A, it would be, in order, 1) PSG, 2) Juve, 3) Napoli 4) Roma, 5) Inter, 6) Lazio, 7) Marseille, 8) Monaco.

Just happens that rumors about PSG wanting to pay well over 100m. for one of Lazio's players.

If you think Monaco, lead by: Falcao, Thomas Lemar, Fabinho, Keita Balde, and Kamil Glik is “weak” than I question whether or not you understand football. After significant roster turnover, even if your replacements are talented, it takes time for a team to find chemistry. Monaco ran into some strong teams they weren’t ready for, doesn’t make them weak. They’ve won a league title and have reached the semi’s and quarters of the UCL within the last 5 years which is more than anyone but Juventus can claim in Italy.

Listen, your fantasies don’t interest me. Any random person can say whatever they like, but so long as it isn’t supported by reality, it doesn’t matter. Obviously Juventus is stronger than the aforementioned French clubs, they are a cut above the rest of Italy as well. But if you are arguing that Roma, Lazio, and Napoli are stronger than a club in Monaco that has been more successful than they both domestically and in Europe than your opinion is clearly biased and therefore illegitimate.

But let’s return to those “facts” for a moment. Monaco reached the semi’s of the UCL last season and defeated some good teams to do so, while Lyon was a goal away from the Europa League final themselves(bested Roma over two legs in the round of 16). Where were Lazio, Roma, Inter, and Napoli?

Roma qualified top of the group against Chelsea and Atletico.

Monaco crashed out with zero games won and a -10 goal difference.
