Whole team was having leg shaking from fear. It tends to affect the balance.

Jokes aside, maybe the rain. He will think and rethink his duel with de Gea. If he doesn't fail, the end of the game is a peaceful story.

Even for PSG, legs shaking vs an injury busted United team is a bit too much. Probably the rain. And also, I keep saying this, but the low level in Ligue 1 isn't doing good for PSG.

Hell, a past it United team, with a caretaker manager, more than half the team missing, including 2 of the best players, is probably the hardest opponent PSG played since Lyon away.

I disagree, he's very much like Pele in the sense that he's got just as much false hype about him as that shrivelled up old prune.

Wow, what a bunch of chokers are thid PSG side, no matter who they buy, how much they spend, they will blow it season after season, and still some folks overrate them with start of cl season, learn something from this

Edit: kudos to solskjarer, amazing stuff from him and united who was looking dead not so long ago, perfect example how changing coach during the season can produce great positive shock

Edit: oj, wrong thread

He's still a kid though after all. The pressure put on him was too much probably, and he buckled.

With all said and done, I would still offer 150m + Coutinho for this guy.

Someone need to get in his head and make him throw a tantrum and leave this summer. We signed all these French players, time to start working.

PSG didn't buckle when Verratti wanted to leave, but Mbappé is France's big hope, so if he want to leave for an upgrade the French media are gonna back him 100% and create a massive shitstorm if PSG pull the same stunt with him.

You would give so much money for this kid?

You really want him in Madrid? I don't. If he goes Madrid get him. Let him and Neymar stay with PSG and their Project.

where would he even play for us? he's not an out and out striker.

Yes, 100%. I am absolutely convinced he's a generational player and he would get even better learning from Messi for a couple of years.

I think he'll definitely consider Barcelona if he want to leave and it would be the right timing. Messi might not be here past 2021.

If not as a striker then LW/CF hybrid like Villa with Messi playing False 9 and Dembele RW, or I would sacrifice Dembele for Mbappe if that's what's needed.

Ligue 1 is not an excuse.

Why was this team able to handle a much better United at United ground with ease and get a comfortable lead ?

I would rather say that it is a mental issue. They are scared when they are on the lead or something. They don't know what to do and are scared. It is not like United was grandiose tonight. 2 min in, no pressure and Kehrer put them back on the tie.
Cheap shot very far from the box, Buffo makes a great mistake that gives them the second ball. This has nothing to do with Ligue 1 level. This is mental or PSG is just cursed.

Also, other L1 teams are doing fine and don't bottle like that. They lose against better opponents but don't bottle.

Think it is also very much down to weaker league quality, even if you don't agree. PSG basically don't have another competition prior to last 16 stage in CL where they can really feel the pressure of a big game. Which is why when they play in these CL games, they choke.

Well, Pele is a legend of football. I know you are against him because you like Messi but he is still a big legend of the sport.
