Things could change. We don't have a lock on La Liga indefinitely. Madrid could very well win the next 3. You never know with these things.

9/10 times you can guarantee what will happen, actually, because thats how predictable and boring la liga is.

I guarantee that Barca will win minimum 2 out of the next 3, making it 4 out of 5 leagues in a row, and probably they win all 3, making it 5 out of 5.

Save this quote and bring it up in 3 years, im going to be correct.

Real winning back to back leagues in the Messi era

You guys contribute too much of the credit to Messi, btw.
Is he the one making sure you basically never concede goals in the league, or making sure the other team never gets the ball by recovering it asap?

Barca has shown that they just win games whenever he is out as well, without any trouble at all.

Its not Messi as much as it is a rock solid defense that won you leagues over the years, just look at how many goals we concede in comparison.

Sick of people pretending Barca is anything close to a one-man team, its not.

If we get Griezmann, next 1-2 leagues would virtually be secured. If we're still playing Suarez 50 matches and relying on Coutinho/Dembele too much, then I think Madrid could snatch it next year if they have a good transfer window.

Griezmann is not exactly better than a lot of available younger strikers. If he stayed at Pathetico at least the league would retain its competitive level

The magic of Messi that is extremely unnoticed is that his mere presence would keep defenders occupied opening the game for his team mates (which is the reason why Leo has so many times turned the game around coming on as a sub) - Remind you, these team mates are not exactly setting the world on fire. But, their level has been good enough to win the league. However, the level of the CL teams is much higher and when facing them, the said team mates of Leo end up like deer caught in the headlight.

Yes, Barca has not exactly been one man's team the last few years - But then they have not been much better!

20.5 year old CR7 > 20.5 year old Mbappe

Those Mbappe > everyone at 18 merchants can go hide in their caves now. He's regressing in the games that matter.

Mpabbe foul was terrible and viscious--deserved red and multimatch suspension. That said it was just after a nearly as bad foul on Neymar foot. From a team coherence point of view in the future he may has enhanced the PSG collective spirit--particulalry between their stars.

20 year old Ronaldo would be what, 06/07 season?
It if was earlier then no, there isnt much of a case for Ronaldo being better at the same age, because he "only" became a world class player around 06/07 if i recall.

As for games that matters, wasnt Ronaldo known for being kinda bad in big games back in the days.

Having neymar as a role model and anarchi in lockerroom with no real off The pitch leaders in stead will harm his career. Im still a bit down we missed out on this guy, we could have had suarez replacement and a good winger, for dembele+40m...

How so ? Without the red he would have had 5 more games to play ?

How many games does he miss with that red card ?

Yeah without the red, he would have 5 more games to play including a team in the relegation zone while Messi would probably have only 2 games (assuming he rest vs Celta which he should)

He will definitely miss today's league game and I believe the committee will announce how many games he will be suspended for on either tomorrow or Thursday
