Kylian Mbappé

why not? They risk of losing him for free in a year time, while like this with griez and coutinho they wouldnt lose that much on merch and name, infact they would keep neymar happy with coutinho arrival.

Griez is a class player, but unfortunately not for us.

Neymar icardi
griezu
coutinho paredes verratti

they just need to replace icardi with someone better and they are top 3 side easily

lmfao

Prefer to keep Griezmann than getting him tbh.

You don't prefer to take a left winger (a position we don't have covered AT ALL) with incredible pace, above average dribbling ability, playmaking, and the ability to score 30 goals a season over a second striker that can't play as a left winger, number 9, right winger, and is a complete surplus to the requirements and necessities of the club? A second striker that lacks pace and dribbling ability, and can't match the end product in open play against said winger?

I swear, some of you users here are weird as fuck over your preferred players. Kylian Mbappe blows Griezmann out of the water in terms of end product, while offering stuff like pace and dribbling that Griezmann can't and will never be able to offer.

Mbappe is 4 goals away from 40 goals this season, 20 in the league. Griezmann's best season doesn't match up to a "shitty Mbappe" season, that's the reality.

3-5-2 is here to stay. Wing/forwards will be obsolete.

A formation born out necessity because we lack the players to play with a more orthodox lineup, and it works because we have the best second striker in the world: Messi. Unfortunately he happens to be 34 years old and will fall off completely soon (as he's indicated this season), so no the formation's not here to stay. We're not Newcastle or Atletico, elite teams play with wingers and we certainly shouldn't make future transfer decisions based on Koeman's experimentations. If Mbappe becomes available, go for him and cut Griezmann off the team. Simple.

It is 343 more than a 352.

Griezmann and Messi at AM behind Dembele.

Messi is not playing second striker in a two and Griezmann is not playing CM.

Exactly. 3-5-2 should be reserved only against teams where you would need more control in midfield and you're not expecting to dominate the match much. Like Sevilla away (0-2), which was a very tough match where we looked to play more direct.

3-5-2 or 3-4-3 is here to stay for a long while - at least in all important games - as it gives great defensive stability.

Until we have top notch and fast CBs and DMs.
And that is not happening soon

PS:
PSG were interested in Griezzy before Barto fucked up and signed him.
I bet If Mbape goes, they would want a big name there.
He is a candidate, and in my humble opinion if they pay around or close to 80m for him, just ship him there and get rid of his ludicrous and undeserved wage

And fullbacks, a major reason why 3-4-3 and 3-5-2 is used is that Alba and Dest aren't particularly good defenders, nor they can get back in time fast enough most of the time. They are good and dangerous offensively, but lack on the defensive side. So this approach allows them to be more relaxed in the attack, knowing we have taken precautions at the back to allow this.

Compared with Alves and Abidal who were great defenders back in the day. Alves used to have prime Cristiano Ronaldo in his pocket until he got older in the Clasicos.

Not that Haaland and Mbappe play the same position. And theres still Fati, whos hopefully not dead.

They don’t but Mbappe cutting in from the LW with his speed would be outrageous.

I like Fati and he’s started well but he’s spoken about as some verified world class star when in reality he’s still very raw.

Exactly . There's his two major knee injuries to consider, he's going to take almost a year to get back and he's only 18, plus he's currently a 10goals a season sort of player. Makes no sense to write off a Mbappe transfer to completely place your faith in Fait lol. It's Barcelona, not Crystal Palace or Real Sociedad.

Once again, Mbappe's capable of scoring 40 goals a year and he has about half a decade of experience in top flight football.
