Kylian Mbappé

 Funny how when it comes to Mbappe, those "almost wonder goals" are highlighted. By the usual suspects no less.

No one forced him to choose PSG 5 years ago. He was too afraid of riding the bench at RM, which he would have considering both CR7 and Benz occupy his ideal spot.

Only a dash of OG missing to this shameful circlejerk

Yeah, I personally think going to PSG was the logical step for his development. Guaranteed a starting role for them with less pressure. Madrid and Barca can be unforgiving environments for talents but he's no doubt ready for Madrid now.

Paris St-Germain's France forward Kylian Mbappe, 23, could yet turn down a move to Real Madrid and sign a new contract with the club. (Le Parisien - in French)

In before Real signs Haaland, screws over Mbappe, and he decides to sign for us for free out of spite  We are Free Agents FC, after all :barcascarf:

Haaland to RM looks a shoe in. So, Mbappe , tho a very good player, becomes surplus to requirements.

However, some clubs appear to want to compete with RM for Haaland.

No need to be so modest, surely you value City's chances of getting him?

I don’t actually. Also the Kane bid, surely taught City not to put all your eggs in one basket. So I have concern that City will make a wasted bid, Haaland being a shoe in at RM. City then, as with Kane, have no alternative lined up.

Real sure are favorites, but I wouldn't say Haaland is one shoe into his switch to Madrid just yet. Anything can happen, and I think City, with their resources, the presence of Pep and one of the best-functioning teams in the world right now, are still a very appealing proposition for Camp Haaland, not to mention his father's history with the club.
