It's a straight choice between money and glory.
So far he has chosen money.
He can choose glory and move to Real/Liverpool.
But if he chooses money, good for him. What can you say? He's still super successful in Football and will be the richest Footballer ever by the time he retires and more.
I doubt many of these Footballers care about legacies as much as fans on the internet do.
Yes, there are certain players that care about their legacy. If Mbappe is that type, then he'll regret staying at PSG all his life.
Otherwise, he'll be fine and satisfied for life. Meh. Bored of this saga.

Legacy is everything in football, Mbappe has the potential to win at least 2 ballon dors and 2 cls, he must be incredible stupid to stay there.

He can actually still win the ballon dor from PSG if France wins great title and PSG gets to Semis of CL. Messi and Ronaldo are out.
But it'll be easier for him to win it at Real Madrid though, far easier than if he went to Liverpool

Both Real Madrid and Liverpool would give him unlimited spotlight, prestige and regular exposure globally.
Madrid are likelier to win CL trophies and will be better at lobbying for individual accolades.
But if he wins PL and CL with Liverpool, he'll get the BDor anyways and be remembered as a bigger Football Legend. We are less likelier to win the CL than Madrid.
Obviously if Mbappe comes to Liverpool, we might be the biggest CL contenders but Madrid are always likelier to win the CL by default.
I'll try and be unbiased: Madrid should be his first option because of what I mentioned above and it's a much much better place to live in.

What kind of legacy would he have at Madrid? In the history books he'll be good/great player for them, but will never surpass likes of Di Stefano or Ronaldo. Won't become their top scorer, player with most apps, most titles etc.
At PSG and France he's a God. Has a great chance of winning another 2-3 important titles with France and on course to easily surpass Klose for most goals in WC. He could also help PSG win CL, it's not easy but it could happen as they were close once. Think 1 CL with PSG is more special than 2 CL's with Madrid.
Regarding Ballon d'Or he just needs a few good games with France. Definitely the favourite whenever there's Euro/WC from now on.
That would also be a huge legacy, albeit different.
