As a pure goalscorer, Ronaldo is probably the best of all time.

In any other respect of the game, he is simple light years behind Messi. Not even remotely close.

He isnt just a goal scorer though, he helps Real to be the best counter attacking team in the world through his clever movement and desire to get into goal scoring positions from deep.

Of course he is nowhere near Messi on the ball at basically anything but he is miles ahead of anyone else when it comes to how clever he is off the ball and how much desire he has to score goals.

this, im not disrespecting ronaldo, i agree that he is one of the best all time goalscorer, but you just can not compare his perfomance to messi performance, because, messi in barca is like modric and ronaldo in one.

I am not saying that Ronaldo is merely a goalscorer, no. But in comparison to Messi, that is the only area of the game that he is more or less on par. I am not slighting Ronaldo in the least, who despite his stupid antics, is one of the best of all time. I am only saying that in comparison with the indisputable GOAT that is Lionel Messi, he can't remotely compare, be it in dribbling, passing, playmaking etc... Anyone who understands football knows this perfectly well and I am sure that you agree.

Depends really as Ronaldo can still have a better game than Messi due to the impact he has. Despite Messi having much more ability than him on ball.

It is not absurd to have been comparing Messi and Ronaldo as players in the past couple of years really and I rate Messi as best ever and dont like Ronaldo.
