Whatever Ronaldo's movement off the ball is, and however taller he is than Messi (hence him being a bigger aerial threat) it can only result in him scoring similar amounts to Messi but with more penalties and more hat-tricks/braces against already defeated teams. Messi's goals are more spread out throughout his seasons, plus he does all those other things that Ronaldo can never do. There is zero doubt over who is the superior footballer.

Yes Messi is the superior footballer said that all along but Ronaldo is much more than a tap in stat padder as people try to make out.

You are not following the argument. Messi and Ronaldo score similar amounts of goals for the last 6 years or so. But Ronaldo's goals are more concentrated in a fewer amount of games, plus more penaldos. Messi's goals are more spread out through different games. It makes a significant difference in the two players' contribution.
