I don't care about the others which in this case are Valencia, Espanyol and Getafe as all 3 will bend over to RM.

I am just saying that it's far from certain that we will defeat Atlético at the Estadio Vicente Calderón. I just told you that Atlético have not done us any favors in similar situations in the past. They might take it easy and "gift" us the win by not showing much intensity and will to win if they will have secured the third place before the match. That scenario is just not given though. All I am saying. It's not like we are going to play against Eibar at the Camp Nou.

Also don't forget that we are talking about a tournament organized by RFEF and that the referee will be a certain Mateu Lahoz.

Of course we are more than capable of defeating Atlético but that match will be played 4-5 days after us playing against Bayern twice in the span of 6 days. Not just training games but CL-semifinals. An injury to Messi and we might face quite the trouble to defeat Atlético away from home. Even if they will have "nothing" to play for.

People are too confident. If Málaga of all teams can take 5 points away from us then surely Atlético can win or draw against us at the Estadio Vicente Calderón.

Had Celta or Sevilla taken points from RM we would have basically been crowned as champions today. Now we will likely be forced to win all 3 of our remaining games.

Again, I'm talking only about probabilities. You dont have to bring the referees subject to me, I gave evidence of the clear bias they had against RM in previous seasons. Even with such scenario I consider the odds favor us.
I never said the game in the Calderon will be a walk in the park, but imo considering our form and theirs we can beat them 9 out of 10 times. It will cost us but we simply are the better team. Now if we consider Atletico may have nothing to play for, the odds vastly increase in our favor, even after the CL games, I can see our players hungry for titles unlike last season, so desire can overcome tiredness. That's how I assess the situation, you dont have to agree with me.
Now, mention one game in which Atletico had nothing to play for and they had the chance to decide who would be Liga winners between us and RM(one of the last 3 games in a season), and they helped RM, that just doesnt exist.
One last thing, I have no idea why people in here believe Valencia will get trashed. They are on a good form and they want to play in the CL next season, Madrid suffered to defeat Almeria in Bernabeu last week! Against Sevilla they scored 2 goals against a 10 man side. They are a great team but many cules tend to be pessimists and started overrating them, lets not get carried away. Modric is a MAJOR loss for them

Valencia still has a huge shot on the 3rd spot (makes a big difference, right into the CL without qualifying phase) and I reckon they'll be firing all cylinders against Real. We've been very lucky to beat them twice and I'm sure they'll give Real a good game.

Either way, we will trash Atleti at the Calderon.

Valencia 1-0 up against Eibar. Should see out the win.

Eibar only 1 point ahead of Deportivo and 3 ahead of Granada who won today.

Hopefully they survive. Would be great to see.

2-0 now. Valencia are surely winning this.

If Atletico win against Levante next week and Valencia lose at the Bernabeu, Atletico will have secured 3rd place. Good for us I guess.

Valencia won against Eibar as expected. Now the gap between Valencia and Atlético is 4 points. The former is better head to head.

The next round will give us a lot of answers.

If Valencia manages to take points away from RM at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu (unlikely if you ask me) and provided that we defeat La Real, the result of Atlético's away game against Levante will be pretty much insignificant for us. Luckily Levante has a 5 point gap down to 18th placed Depor who as we all know are going to play against us in the last round. Levante and Depor are going to play against each other in round 37.

If RM on the other hand wins against Valencia as expected and Atlético does the same against Levante it will mean that Cholo's troops would have secured the 3rd place mathematically.

This obviously means that they will have nothing to play for against us other than their pride, honor and for their fans who are unlikely to want them to win if that means gifting the league title to RM. The problem is that we HAVE to win with all probability so a boring draw won't be enough if RM defeats Espanyol away from home as expected. A team with nothing to play for.

Exactly.
I'd still obviously prefer the first option to come true.
There also would be a third one, which actually would be the worst: Real beating Valencia and Atletico not winning their game; this would be a "disaster" because 3rd place wouldn't still be sure for Atletico.

Definitely, and Levante still has shit to play for so they wont be unmotivated. Also think Perez will eb giving them soem money if they beat Atletico or draw them.
If Atletico wasnt robbed yesterday this wouldnt even be an issue.

Indeed.
So many reasons for us to win this Liga, it would be a really fantastic success.
