RM is impressive for sure. They could have scored 3-4 more goals if almeria's GK was less good tonight.

He'll beat it. He'd have to collapse in form or get injured to not get it. He is halfway in goals and still has like 24 La Liga games left. And considering games like today where he plays terribly and stills gets fed a couple, you have to think he'll break it without issue.

And Ronaldo was on fire before Christmas last season too, then he tailed off. Messi during his 50 goal season was consistent through out.

I am not watching it. Just reading the reports and comments. I went to Eurosport.yahoo to check the result and saw this on the report: "And Ronaldo finally gets his goal! Benzema sets the number seven up for a tap in into the empty net."

The last Madrid match I watched was against Barca. Beside that, just some highlights here and there. And that was enough to see that nothing has changed.

Messi should not be measured by just how many goals he scores anyway.
